Breaking: Fox Renews Raising Hope

Raising Hope is one step closer to the terrible twos: Fox has renewed the rookie family comedy for a second season.

The pickup was formally announced this morning at the network’s portion of the Television Critics Assoc. midseason Press Tour.

The critically acclaimed Hope, which was the first new series to receive a full-season green light back in October, has been a welcome bright spot for Fox this fall. The network’s other two freshman entries, Lone Star and Running Wilde, have already been canceled.

But let’s hear it for Hope! Quality television FTW! Get the party started in the comments!

  • This is one of my favorite new shows! I’m so happy it’s actually a success. From the first, I was bracing for it to get cancelled like most of the funny quirky shows I fall in love with. Kudos to the TV watching public for recognizing a good thing and supporting it. That doesn’t happen as often as it should.

    • Wonderfalls, Tru Calling, Firefly, Drive, etc. All networks cancel good shows. Not just ABC.

  • So excited! I absolutely love this show – it makes me laugh hysterically every week. The whole cast is fantastic, and baby Hope is hands-down the most adoreable baby EVER. I, too, was fearful that it was going to be cancelled since every time I asked someone about it, I was met with a blank stare. Thanks, FOX!

  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KEEP RAISING HOPE ON THE AIR. IT’S THE FUNNIEST SHOW ON TV. I LOVE IT AND SO DO MY KIDS. IT’S WHOLESOME AND HILARIOUS I DIDN’T KNOW IT WAS ON LAST YEAR BUT I’M SO GLAD I DISCOVERED IT JUST RECENTLY.
