Pilots: Lauren Ambrose Rushed To Bellevue

Six Feet Under‘s Lauren Ambrose has joined the Fox drama pilot Weekends at Bellevue, sources confirm to TVLine.

The project, based on Julie Hollan’s memoir of the same name, centers on a psychiatrist (Ambrose) in charge of the weekend shift of Bellevue Hospital psychiatric unit.

Janet McTeer co-stars as the hospital’s head of psychiatry.

Ambrose is currently shooting Torchwood: Miracle Day, where she has a recurring role as a PR whiz.

    • I agree. And in 2 different shows in the same year: Torchwood and this new Fox drama. I hope she has success with both shows: she deserves it!

  • Not only coming back to TV but this looks like she’s headlining the show. :) Too bad it’s on FOX, so hit & miss.
