CSI Scoop: Elisabeth Harnois Upped to Regular

Elisabeth Harnois, who co-starred on CBS’ Miami Medical, will be joining the cast of CSI as a series regular.

Harnois was originally signed to guest star in the May 5 episode as the estranged daughter of Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann), who works for the Los Angeles Police Department and helps the Las Vegas crew hunt down serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin).

The guest stint grew into a bigger role on the show. She was expected to return for more episodes and has now been upgraded to a full-blown regular.

CSI, now in its 11th season, has not been officially renewed for next season but that is considered a foregone conclusion. Harnois’ series credits include Point Pleasant, Dirt and One Tree Hill.

  • Sorry, but you confuled me. She played on Miami Medical, not Miami Trauma. I liked her on that show. I don’t watch CSI LV much, but she will be good, I’m sure

  • Point Pleasant was wicked! Loved that series! Miami Medical was also a good one. Hm…she doesn’t have a great track record with shows does she lol both shows she was a regular on lasted only 13 episodes each.

  • She’ll always be Alice to me from the old Disney series. I loved that when I was little!

  • That’s nice… Guess things will be changing now that Marg is leaving. I just hope she won’t be taking Marg’s job as the lead role like they did when Fishburne first started.

  • And they STILL won’t bring Liz Vassey back- what gives? Come on, we want our Wendy back with Hodges!!!

    • You’re right. We want Wendy back with Hodges, she’s probably the only woman who can be with him ;)

So, is Harnois going to replace Catherine? I’m ok with she been in the regular cast, but I hope she dosen’t get the main character part.

They need to give more credit to the original cast, well, the ones that are still on the show.

  • Very cool! :-) I loved her in “Point Pleasant”, “One Tree Hill” and the movie “Ten Inch Hero”; though I haven’t seen her role yet, I’m sure her character’s doing great on the show!

Now I’ve got incentive to get updated with it before the new season starts! :-D

  • Can we please have Jorja Fox take female lead now? COME ON?!?!?

  • Does this mean Ecklie’s going to be the finale’s casualty? If not him, I’m guess Alex Carter’s Vartann because it’ll give Helgenberger’s character a good reason to leave.
