Exclusive: Damages Retains Griffin Dunne

Griffin Dunne (An American Werewolf in London, After Hours) has booked a multi-episode arc on Damages, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.

The former FX drama’s fourth season — which premieres on DirecTV this summer — revolves around a wrongful death lawsuit filed against the CEO of a military security firm (played by John Goodman) over an incident in a war zone.

Actor-director Dunne will play a foreign correspondent who’s looking to write a story about the embattled company.

Other season 4 guest stars include Taxi‘s Judd Hirsch (as a former mentor of Glenn Close’s Patty) and Saving Grace‘s Bailey Chase (as a love interest for Rose Byrne’s Ellen).

  • Even though Damages is now on DirecTV with limited accessibility for the majority of the population they still bring on board the most talented actors in the business. It all boils down to the fantastic reputation (writing/acting) this series has built over the years. My hat is off to them for continuing a high standard and reputation. I can’t wait for the new season.

  • This is shaping up to be a fantastic fourth season. Even including the forgotten member of the Whedon universe, Bailey Chase:)
    They are into season 2 now in the reruns on The 101 and it seems to pprove that this show never should have been shown with commercials. The episodes play so much better without commercial breaks that breakup the individual acts at inopportune moments. Rose Byrne has never gotten the accolades she justly deserves for her run as Ellen Parsons, neither did Tate Donovan. RIP Tom Shayes.
