Matt Lauer Makes Appointment With Royal Pains

Matt Lauer is here Today, gone tomorrow…to Royal Pains.

It was announced Wednesday that the Today anchor would guest-star on an upcoming episode of the USA Network medical dramady as — who else? — himself.

The episode, titled “Ta Da For,” finds Lauer attempting to vacation in the Hamptons — though Evan’s (Paulo Constanzo) incessant pestering for a Today profile on HankMed makes relaxing difficult for the daytime TV staple.

Lauer joins previously announced guests Kyle Howard (My Boys) and Tony Hale (Arrested Development) in Pains‘ August 7 installment.
