The former V mercenary is joining Desperate Housewives as a series regular, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.

Oh, and he’s also the new love interest for Vanessa Williams’ Renee.

I’m in lust! Can not believe they canceled B&S so abruptly. Could’ve given us a bigger send off. The writers blew it. Too much change- loosing Holly & Rebecca, Ojai Foods & winery all at once. Luc was delicious though.

He was one of the worst things about V! It made my stomach turn when they tried to force a romance between him and Elizabeth Mitchell at the end to try and boost ratings. Come on DH can find someone more talented and MUCH better looking than this guy.

I love Desperate Housewives, and I think it’s great we are getting new men in it. Until Brie’s new love interest came along, I can’t say I was that impressed with any of them, so let’s see what this new guy has to offer in the role, before we rule him out altogether. Don’t forget, it’s ACTING, girls? He might be a different character altogether in this….. and often they buff them up a bit for sexier roles…. he might’ve been working out!! Give the guy a chance – we all deserve one.

I didn’t know who he was prior to this write-up, let’s give him a chance. I think DH knows what they are doing or we wouldn’t be waiting for season 8. I didn’t know they canceled B&S, i liked it in the beginning and the stopped following it.

- @X: Really? You’re really promoting agism? It’s not like he’s 80. Afterall, he’s a heck of a lot younger than the women whose love interest he’ll play. Obviously Marc Cherry and the studio and network executives see something in him. He’s good, forget about age! I don’t think he’s handsome at all and i don’t like Chuck Vance either-the new detective who’s Bree’s bf- and i think its too many characters-Bree,Tom, Lynette, Susan, Mike, Gaby, Carlos,Renee, Chuck and Ben, plus Ben is a copy of Keith. I also think he looks old to play the part,, maybe its the beard.
