TVLine Items: Sarah Paulson Enters Horror Story, CBS Renews Big Brother and More

Sarah Paulson has scared up a plum part in FX’s American Horror Story.

The Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip actress will play medium Billie Dean during a four-episode arc, reports E! Online. Most of her scenes will be opposite Jessica Lange as the nosy, peculiar neighbor to the Harmons.

The series, which hails from Glee creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, revolves around the Harmon family — played by Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton and Taissa Farmiga — who move into a house with a haunted history.

Paulson’s past TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy, where she played young Ellis Grey, and ABC’s Cupid reboot.

  • Really, CBS? The BBC already did the whole modern Sherlock Holmes and it was pretty excellent. I doubt you could do it any better.

    • The BBC version is amazing. I’ve watched it at least 3 times on Netflix Instant.

    • I hope they do the franchise proud, but it will take a lot to beat the BBC’s series.

  • Not sure about the take on a modern day Sherlock. Benedict Cumberbatch was made for that role and I don’t think anyone can compare to him
