Save The Dates: The Chosen Season 6, Alyssa Farah Griffin Returns To The View, And More

Amazon's Biblical drama "The Chosen" will return this fall: Season 6 debuts Sunday, November 15 on Prime Video with the first three episodes, TVLine has learned. Episodes will then air weekly through its December 6 finale. The finale will also get a theatrical release in the spring of 2027.

Season 6 "captures the historic events of Jesus' final day through the lives of those who love Him — and those who condemn Him," per the official description. "Pharisees call it justice. Romans call it peace. Followers call it murder. But in the face of loneliness and death, Jesus stands resolute in his plan that has always led to one place: the cross. 'The Chosen' Season 6 reveals how Jesus' final hours changed the world forever."

Jonathan Roumie stars as Jesus, along with a cast the includes Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Noah James as Andrew, and George H. Xanthis as John.

"The Chosen" debuted in 2017 on the VidAngel streaming platform, with financing from crowdfunding, and then signed a deal to stream on Prime Video starting with Season 5. A seventh and final season is expected to air next year.
