Mindy Kaling is stepping in front of the camera on Netflix's "Running Point," joining Season 3 of the Kate Hudson-led comedy in a recurring role, TVLine has learned.

Kaling, who co-created and executive-produces the series, will play Divya, "the outspoken, confident CEO of a popular gambling app," per the official character breakdown. "Much like Isla (Hudson), she's proudly the first female leader in her male-dominated field. Their similarities end there, with Divya becoming a thorn in Isla's plans all season." (Hudson will also make her television directorial debut with the Season 3 premiere.)

Production on Season 3 is currently underway in Los Angeles; a release date has not yet been announced.
