When Mercedes comes to visit Lima from Los Angeles, will we get some flashback scenes to give us a glimpse of what her life looks like as she tries to break into the brutal music biz?

Will there be some type of competitive freshman-class singing event, or perhaps an off-Broadway audition, that might take Rachel's focus off of the men in her life and put it back on her career? Also: Is she going to maybe make a friend or two at NYADA who won't have a romantic interest in her?

How will the show's writers develop the Marley-Jake-Kitty triangle in a way that it doesn't play out like a carbon copy of the Rachel-Finn-Quinn story arc from back in Season 1?
