Bachelor In Paradise: An Update On How Long Each Couple Lasted — Who Broke Up? And Who's Still Together?
Bachelor in Paradise is kind of like the wild younger sister of the Bachelor franchise: a romantic free-for-all where alums from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette freely mingle and hook up in a tropical locale. But actually, Paradise could teach its older siblings a thing or two about lasting relationships.
It may seem purely hedonistic — and yeah, sometimes it is — but Paradise has actually led to a number of rock-solid couples, including six weddings and five children... with three more on the way! So which Bachelor in Paradise couples actually lasted long enough to make it to the altar, and which ones are still together to this day? We're glad you're asked.
With the season finale of Paradise airing this Tuesday (8/7c, ABC), we're looking back through the archives to see how long each Paradise couple lasted together after the show ended. The list below catches you up on each couple that ended the season together (plus a few that found love afterwards), listed in order of how long their relationship lasted, from shortest to longest. And as you'll see, a number of them are still going strong.
Read on for an update on all of Bachelor in Paradise's couples. (Oh, do you want to see a similar list for all of the couples on The Bachelor? It's right here. And how about all the couples on The Bachelorette? Yep, we've got that, too.)
Jenna and Jordan: -1 days (Season 5, 2018)
How can a couple last negative days, you ask? Well, let us tell you: Jenna (from Arie's season) and Jordan (from Becca's season) seemed like a happy pair, getting engaged on the finale and even asking Chris Harrison to officiate their wedding on the reunion. But a day before the reunion, news broke that the couple had split up after Jordan accused Jenna of cheating on him. Making this even weirder, Jenna later cleared her name by proving that the texts that supposedly showed her cheating were faked. Huh? Anyway, after all that, this split was probably for the best.
Annaliese and Kamil: 0 days (Season 5, 2018)
Season 5 was a mess, y'all: Not only did we have the aforementioned Jenna/Jordan trainwreck, but Kamil (from Becca's season) decided that the best time to tell Annaliese (from Arie's season) that "I might not be the guy for you" would be... on stage in front of a live audience during the reunion. Needless to say, everyone took Annaliese's side on this one.
Lacey and Daniel: 0 days (Season 4, 2017)
These two made a steamy pair in Mexico, but that steam evaporated once they got back. When Lacey (from Nick's season) and Daniel (from JoJo's season) sat down with Chris Harrison at the reunion, she accused Daniel of stringing her along to stay on the show... and the show even had footage of him telling a producer that he'd "never change my Facebook status to 'in a relationship with Lacey.'" Well, if that doesn't end a romance in this day and age, nothing will.
Cassandra and Justin: 0 days (Season 2, 2015)
This duo also crashed and burned on their season's reunion: Cassandra (from Juan Pablo's season) and Justin (from Kaitlyn's season) announced they had split up on Season 2's aftershow... and Cassandra even showed up at the reunion on the arm of fellow Season 2 cast member Jonathan. Ouch.
Tayshia and John Paul Jones: 1 month (Season 6, 2019)
Sometimes a breakup is for the best. Tayshia (from Colton's season) took a liking to goofball John Paul Jones (from Hannah's season), and the two had an on-and-off thing that only lasted a few weeks after their Paradise season ended. But Tayshia rebounded nicely, becoming the Bachelorette last year, getting engaged to Zac and being named Bachelorette co-host along with Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Samantha and Nick: 1 month (Season 2, 2015)
These two seemed solid in Mexico, with Nick (from Ashley's season) calling Samantha (from Chris' season) "absolutely the most beautiful girl I've ever seen" after accepting her final rose. But the distance between them — she lived in L.A.; he lived in Tampa, Florida — ultimately spelled doom, and they amicably went their separate ways a month later.
Demi and Kristian: 1 month (Season 6, 2019)
They made history as the U.S. Bachelor franchise's first same-sex couple, and Demi (from Colton's season) and her girlfriend Kristian even got engaged on the Season 6 reunion. But alas, they couldn't avoid the fate of so many Bachelor couples before them: They split up less than two months later, and Demi returned for another shot at Paradise this season.
Katie and Chris: 2 months (Season 6, 2019)
Well-seasoned Bachelor Nation veteran Chris Bukowski — who appeared on Emily and Andi's Bachelorette seasons, a season of Bachelor Pad and three seasons of Paradise! — seemed like he finally found his match in Katie, from Colton's season, and they got engaged. But Katie showed up at the reunion sans ring and admitted that their post-show relationship had been "rocky," and not long after, the two confirmed they had broken up (where else?) on Instagram.
Lace and Grant: 2 months (Season 3, 2016)
These two had quite the tumultuous stay in Paradise, with lots of fights and tears punctuated by Lace (from Ben's season) and Grant (from JoJo's season) getting matching hand tattoos of their couple name "Grace." (Ah yes, always a great sign.) They got engaged on the Paradise finale and even appeared together on Ben and Laura's Freeform reality show, but they made a mutual decision to split a couple months later. No word on whether they still have those hand tattoos, though.
Amanda and Josh: 3 months (Season 3, 2016)
This was baseball player Josh's second time at bat: He got engaged to Andi during her Bachelorette season, and after they called things off, he found love again with Amanda, from Ben's season. It was a swing and a miss, though. They broke up after just a few months... and Amanda went back to the Bachelor well herself in Season 4 of Paradise.
Michelle and Cody: 3-ish months (Season 1, 2014)
Way back in Paradise's inaugural season, Michelle "Money" (from Brad's season) and Cody (from Andi's season) left Mexico as a couple, but they split up three-ish months later. We say "ish" because they got back together and broke up again a few more times after that, including a stint on Marriage Boot Camp, but they're not together as of now. We think.
Taylor and Derek: 9 months (Season 4, 2017)
This Season 4 pairing led to an engagement, too, with Derek (from JoJo's season) popping the question to Taylor (from Nick's season) on the reunion. But their long-distance romance fizzled after less than a year, and Derek returned to Paradise for another shot at love in Season 6.
Kendall and Joe: 1 year, 4 months (Season 5, 2018)
"Grocery Store Joe" (from Becca's season) finally stopped shopping around for love and started a post-show relationship with Kendall (from Arie's season) after they had split during the season. Kendall even cheered Joe on from the crowd during his stint on Dancing With the Stars, but their love took an unfortunate tumble after a year and change.
Krystal and Chris: 1 year, 5 months (Season 5, 2018)
Hey, it's our first wedding on this list! Krystal (from Arie's season) and Chris (from Becca's season) got engaged on the show and walked down the aisle a year later. (Their wedding was officiated by Chris Harrison, of course.) Less than a year after that, though, they announced they were separating and filed for divorce shortly thereafter.
Lacy and Marcus: 1 year, 9 months (Season 1, 2014)
Paradise's first success story, Lacy (from Juan Pablo's season) and Marcus (from Andi's season) got engaged on the Season 1 finale and tied the knot on the Season 2 premiere... or so we thought. When the two split in 2016, Marcus revealed that they were never legally married (!), blaming Lacy for not filling out the proper paperwork after they returned from Mexico.
Caelynn and Dean: 2 years, and counting! (Season 6, 2019)
Dean (from Rachel's season) has made his way around the Bachelor block, with a Bachelorette season, two stays in Paradise and one on The Bachelor Winter Games (whatever that was). But he finally found his match in Caelynn (from Colton's season) after their season in Paradise, and these two have managed to make it work ever since, even showing off their "committed relationship" rings on a recent Bachelor episode.
Hannah and Dylan: 2 years, and counting! (Season 6, 2019)
She also had her eye on Blake during their Paradise season, but Hannah (the runner-up on Colton's season) ended up with Dylan (from Hannah Brown's season), and the two got engaged on the season finale. Two years later, they're still a couple and living together in San Diego, with plans for a 2023 wedding.
Astrid and Kevin: 3 years, and counting! (Season 5, 2018)
This couple has an international flavor: Kevin hails from The Bachelorette Canada, and he found love with Astrid, from Nick's season. They didn't end their Paradise season together, but they reunited afterwards and are still together to this day. They got engaged in 2019 and are currently expecting their first child.
Ashley and Jared: 3 years, and counting! (Season 2, 2015)
These two Bachelor Nation staples had a rough start to their relationship: Ashley (from Chris' season) and Jared (from Kaitlyn's season) dated in Season 2 and even went to the fantasy suite together, but he broke things off with her, and she left the show devastated. Years later, though, they began dating again and got married in 2019, with a baby on the way.
Carly and Evan: 4 years (Season 3, 2016)
These two were an inspiration to Bachelor Nation for years, with Carly (from Chris' season) and Evan (from JoJo's season) finding love on Season 3 of Paradise and returning to Mexico a year later to get hitched. (Did Chris Harrison perform the ceremony? You bet he did!) They had two children together, a son and a daughter — but sadly, they announced last year they had separated.
Raven and Adam: 4 years, and counting! (Season 4, 2017)
They didn't get engaged on the finale, but Raven (the runner-up on Nick's season) and Adam (from Rachel's season) left Paradise together and haven't left each other's sides since. They got married this April and are expecting their first child early next year.
Jade and Tanner: 6 years, and counting! (Season 2, 2015)
They're the ultimate Bachelor in Paradise success story: After Jade failed to find love on Chris' Bachelor season and Tanner struck out on Kaitlyn's Bachelorette season, they found each other in Paradise, with Tanner popping the question in the Season 2 finale. They had a televised wedding in 2016 and are still happily married with three children. See? Paradise can last forever.
