Love Is Blind Season 3 Kicks Off With Five New Couples — But Which Ones Will Actually Make It To The Altar?

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 3, Episodes 1-4.

Complete strangers are once again getting engaged without even seeing each other's faces... yep, Love Is Blind is back.

Netflix's dating experiment returned for its third season on Wednesday with a fresh crop of hopeful singles looking to meet the person of their dreams — through a wall. As always, the daters here get to know each other only through talking in isolated pods, without ever seeing what the other person looks like. For a select few of the daters, these faceless encounters lead to actual marriage proposals, after which they meet for the first time in the flesh. Then it's just four weeks (!) until their wedding, where they'll decide if they want to stick together for life. (Laugh if you want, but through two seasons, this show has just as many intact marriages as The Bachelor does after 27 seasons, so maybe pods are better than roses.)

After the first four episodes of Season 3, we have five couples looking to walk down the aisle together... and some of them are on very shaky ground already. Let's take a look at each couple and how they got together, and then you can vote in our poll to tell us which couples you think will actually end up getting married at season's end.

Brennon and Alexa

She's a bubbly and confident Israeli woman; he's a Southern gentleman who says "sir" and "ma'am" a lot. They might seem like an odd match at first, but she lights up when he says his favorite dish to make is shakshuka. They bond quickly over how close they are to their families, and Brennon opens up to her about his rough childhood. Soon enough, he's telling her, "I'm completely in love with you" — and she loves him, too! He's the first dater to get down on one knee and propose, and she happily says yes. She does warn him, though, that she's "a crazy mess" and may have "a toxic obsession" with him already. So consider yourself warned, Brennon! The producers try to end Episode 1 on a cliffhanger when they first see each other, but it's fine: They share a warm hug and a deep kiss. So far, so good!

Matt and Colleen

Colleen insists on telling every guy she dates in the pods that she's a ballet dancer. ("Not everyone gets to talk to one," she reasons.) But it doesn't really pay off: She likes Brennon at first, but he tells her he's more into Alexa, which sends her into tears. Then she shifts her focus to Cole, and they do seem to have good banter. (She correctly guesses what kind of animal is on his socks! Turtles, for the record.) She shies away from getting too deep with Cole, though, and that leads to him cutting her loose, too. So she decides to settle for her third choice, Matt, who has some trust issues: He got married at 18 and then got divorced, because his wife cheated on him and got pregnant with the other guy's baby. She's also afraid of getting rejected again, but the third time's the charm: She and Matt exchange "I love you"s, and when he pops the question, she says yes. When they see each other, she runs into his arms, gushing: "He's just perfect in every way." Good thing those other two guys rejected you, then!

Cole and Zanab

Cole is quite a character: He tells one girl he has a "no nurses" dating policy, tells another girl that not liking the Jonas Brothers is a dealbreaker for him, then declares his future "wife needs to have a nice butt." (Then maybe Love Is Blind is not the show for you, my guy?) Despite his intense flirtation with Colleen, he finds himself more drawn to flight attendant Zanab. She likes his goofy energy: "Cole makes me feel stupid, like a lovestruck idiot." He wants "fun and adventure" in his life, and she's tired of being alone, and they both realize they're falling in love with each other. When he proposes, she happily accepts, and when they see each other, they furiously make out. She's happy: "He's a beautifully crafted man." And he's pleased, too: "She has bigger boobs than I expected."

SK and Raven

Raven makes sure to let all the guys know she's a Pilates instructor and "a serial worker-outter," and she and Bartise bond over #FitnessGoals. ("Muscles completely blind me," she admits. "I'm helpless.") But she also forms a bond with SK, who's from Nigeria and about to go to grad school at Berkeley. Raven announces to the other girls that Bartise is her top pick — but he's Nancy's top pick, too. (And Raven kind of hates her.) When Bartise tells Raven a very personal story, though, about his parents' marriage breaking up... she's working out during it? Like, you can't stop doing jumping jacks for one second to listen to this man? Bartise definitely notices, and it definitely rubs him the wrong way.

When SK opens up to Raven, on the other hand, he thanks her for listening, and that actually gets her to shed a few tears. Bartise ends up cutting things off with her, telling her he has "a burning desire" to be with Nancy instead. Raven says that's fine, actually, because she and SK "connect on a deeper level." Hmmm, so she's spinning this as a mutual thing? Not sure we buy that. She won't tell SK she loves him, but "I see myself getting there," and that's enough for him: He proposes to her. In response, she takes a long walk around the room — and we literally thought she was going to walk out the door — but then says "Yes sir!" When they meet, though, she looks slightly disappointed. They hug, but not passionately, and she only gives him a peck on the lips. Oof.

Bartise and Nancy

Nancy's biological clock is ticking. Actually, as she puts it, "my ovaries are dancing." She's 31 years old, and she wants 10 kids (!). She and Bartise hit it off, but she's stunned when she learns he's 25 because she would never normally date someone that young. She also likes the smooth-talking Andrew, who gets her hot and bothered describing his experiences with tantric sex. She's torn between them, and Bartise is torn between her and Raven. But after the infamous jumping-jacks incident, he tells the guys Nancy is the one for her. He tells her, too — but she's still making up her mind. She's worried that he's not ready for kids, and she's had a rule that she would only date men "older than 33." But that rule hasn't worked for her in the past, clearly.

Andrew gets down on one knee and proposes to Nancy — but she turns him down: "it just doesn't feel right... I'm looking for something else." (Ouch.) He seems hurt... but then he has to put in a million eye drops to wet his eyes before his confessional? Huh? Was this guy just a phony the whole time? Regardless, Nancy's heart is with Bartise, and when he proposes, she says yes! When they first see each other, they share a sweet kiss and giggle a lot together. Although Bartise is distracted by her ample chest: "I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes above Nancy's neck."

After the Pods

Now that they're engaged, the five couples get to spend a romantic weekend together in Malibu to test out their physical connection. Most are cuddling and canoodling right away, although Cole is still prone to saying things like: "This is a boring conversation. Let's talk about something awesome. What is your favorite big cat?" (Are we sure this guy is old enough to legally get married? He talks like the Tom Hanks character in Big.) Bartise does admit he's having trouble connecting this Nancy with who he fell in love with in the pods, and Raven tells us her physical side with SK hasn't caught up to her mental side. (They're like an old married couple, on opposite sides of the bed.) SK gallantly encourages her to take her time, though. Plus, the morning after Cole and Zanab spend their first night together, she says Cole ditched her and didn't talk to her for a couple hours?! Cole says he was just "really tired" and accuses her of "overanalyzing everything," but she worries they're not "on the same page."

The couples enjoy their alone time as Bartise and Nancy definitely consummate things... twice. ("Every single part of his body is very attractive," she sighs.) But we do see some red flags popping up: Cole and Zanab bicker after he says their first night together was "good" and not "great" (hmmm), and after SK falls asleep during a soothing sound bath, Raven tells him she needs "more pizzazz" and "razzle-dazzle" from him. As she puts it, she wants a cupcake and not a muffin... but they both think they can work on it? (You can work on it all you want, but you can't turn a muffin into a cupcake.) And then when the couples all get together for a boozy mixer, that's when things really get messy.

The daters all get to see each other for the first time, and heads start turning: Colleen says Cole "is very cute," and he admits Colleen is "the type of girl I'd normally go for," too. Bartise almost starts panting when he sees Raven: She "looks f–king incredible... one hundred percent a smokeshow." Cole confesses to the other guys that "I'm still in love," but "it's just different now," griping about Zanab's passive-aggressive way of talking. When SK says he's having difficulties with Raven, Bartise's ears perk up. SK tells them there's been no physical intimacy between him and Raven, and Bartise says in an interview that he regrets cutting her off too quickly: "There are definitely feelings there." Yeesh. Back in their hotel room, a clearly inebriated Bartise tells Nancy he doesn't think SK and Raven will work out... and then, for some reason, tells her that Raven is "a f–king smokeshow, she's hot as s—t," adding that he cried when he had to pick between the two of them. Nancy, as you can imagine, is not amused. Four weeks until the weddings, guys!
