In a crowded TV landscape full of streaming, cable and broadcast shows to choose from, we were pleasantly surprised that some small-screen offerings still found ways to make our hearts race.

From secret identities to steamy hookups and villainous reveals, TV in 2022 often kept our jaws glued to the floor. To that end, in the list below, we're revisiting 40 of the TV plot twists that kept us on the edge of our seats this year.
