Quotes Of The Week: The Bachelorette, Dynasty, Sistas, BET Awards And More

Fittingly, you'll find plenty of fireworks in our July 4 edition of Quotes of the Week.

As we do every Sunday, we've compiled the week's best TV sound bites into the list below, which includes more than 15 zingers and bon mots from broadcast, cable and streaming series.

This time around, we've got David Makes Man's sly reference to the network on which it airs, a Celebrity Dating Game guest who took all the mystery out of her identity, a tremendous airing of grievances from Legends of Tomorrow's Nate and memorable breakups on both The Bachelorette and Evil. (But only one of them uses the phrase "dried-up little ovaries," and it's probably not the show you think it is.)

Also featured in this week's roundup: double doses of The Republic of Sarah and Sistas, plus quotable moments from The Haves and the Have Nots, Dynasty, Crime Scene Kitchen, Last Week Tonight and more shows.

Scroll through the list below to see all of our picks for the week, then hit the comments and tell us if we missed any of your faves!

DYNASTY

"You want to talk about sins? Honey, mine could run laps around yours."

"I seriously doubt that. You are talking to the woman who purposely gave food poisoning to Ashanti."

Alexis (Elaine Hendrix) and Dominique (Michael Michele) are evenly matched in the villainy department, but given that she targeted a national treasure, we'll call this round for Dominique

DAVID MAKES MAN

"I'm the first sophomore president of the Black Students Unified and the book club."

"OK. I see you, Oprah."

David (Akili McDowell) is impressed when he and former middle school classmate Marissa (Lindsey Blackwell) compare notes on their respective high schools. (The Oprah reference is also a nice meta touch for the OWN drama.)

LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER

"That's great, Debra. But did you donate? Did you? Did you, Debra?"

Adding a heart emoji to a GoFundMe donation request just doesn't cut it for Oliver

EVIL

"You should cry now. I think that'd be appropriate, because I want you to know that I've hated every second of this — every DJ we listened to, every place setting, every invitation. Well, now that's over, and I want you to take your dried-up little ovaries and drag them back under the rock you came from."

Leland (Michael Emerson) calls off his wedding to Sheryl in the absolute harshest way possible

THE CELEBRITY DATING GAME

"One time my brother left me some sweet notes. He covered my mirror and he just put 'Demi' on every one of them — Oh, wait, I said my name. [Bleep]! I ruined the show."

Bachelor Nation's Demi Burnett eliminates any remaining "mystery" from "Mystery Guest"

TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS

"Maurice and his friends are from the 'hood."

Calvin (Anthony Dalton) intentionally mislabels his roommate Maurice to his booty call Peggy by dismissing him as classless

TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS (Bonus Quote!)

"You don't like it?"

"No. It sounds like hound dogs chasing after slaves."

Zac (Devale Ellis) candidly tells his cowboy friend Preston (Trinity Whiteside) why he doesn't like country music

CRIME SCENE KITCHEN

"Were there a lot of fireworks when you first met?"

"There were a lot of fireworks when we first met. We were at a Bible college, and—"

"So there was a lot of over-the-clothes stuff."

Joel McHale gets up close and (too?) personal with Lorie and Jason

THE BLACK AMERICAN FIGHT FOR FREEDOM

"When I grew up in Cabrini-Green, I was very angry. I didn't understand why my mother would allow us to be there. It still hurts. I think that people who didn't grow up in housing projects or poverty do not understand. 'Oh, get over it.' That's what they say. But how can you get over something that's a part of you?"

Antoinette Gautreaux, granddaughter of civil rights and housing activist Dorothy Gautreaux

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

"And don't get me started about life on the ship! Six roommates and I'm the only one who replaces the cartridges in the fabricators! And I know one of you changes the thermostat every night, so don't blame it on Gideon! ... And another thing! I asked for a chair at the Hall of Justice! Big surprise: no response!"

Nate (Nick Zano) unleashes all his frustrations

LUCIFER (Episode 15)

"Are you seriously telling me that Michael has got your vote because he's 'the devil you know'? Do you have any idea how ironically infuriating that is?"

Lucifer (Tom Ellis) learns that Jophiel is voting for a "d—k" who admittedly "keeps the trains running" in Heaven

LUCIFER (Episode 15 Bonus Quote!)

"It looks like he was tied down and forced to drink wine for a couple of hours, before he was shot."

"So you're saying he was water-Bordeaux-ed?"

Ella (Aimee Garcia) throws Lucifer (Tom Ellis) a fastball down the middle

THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS

"You are the devil!"

"No, that would be this beautiful bitch standing right by your side."

Jim (John Schneider) turns an insult from Celine (Eva Tamargo) into what Veronica considers a compliment

MENTAL SAMURAI

"Well, there's your problem with prestige TV right there."

Rob Lowe throws poor Midge under the bus when a player bungles the name of the Amazon Prime comedy

21ST BET AWARDS

"Some of you lost family. Some of you may have even lost your jobs. But you didn't lose your mind. Your purpose. And if you know it's not over, say, 'We win.'"

Gospel star Kirk Franklin, before taking the audience to church with his hit "We Win"

THE REPUBLIC OF SARAH

"They probably didn't realize they were on the wrong side of the border."

"They jumped our barriers and shouted, 'Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty' at us."

"That's a Henry David Thoreau quote, so at least we know they're doing their English homework."

When the town's teens cross the border in protest, Sarah (Stella Baker) learns they've been paying attention in class

THE REPUBLIC OF SARAH (Bonus Quote!)

"So, to recap: You want me, a police officer, to illegally cross an international boundary in this floating midlife crisis so that I can smuggle a bunch of supplies back to Greylock and risk ruining my professional reputation and getting my hair wet."

AJ (Nia Holloway) is not a fan of Sarah's plan to get goods to Greylock by boat — and its threat to her hair

THE BACHELORETTE

"You told me things I wanted to hear. But what I learned about you tonight is you're selfish, unkind and a liar. Your Bachelor audition ends tonight. So get out."

Katie drops the hammer on Thomas and puts an end to his self-promotion tour
