Silicon Valley Drama Cupertino From Robert And Michelle King Lands CBS Script Order For 2026-27 TV Season
CBS is ready to buy up some real estate in Cupertino: The network has ordered 12 episode scripts for the Silicon Valley-based legal drama from executive producers Robert King and Michelle King, TVLine has learned.
Titled after the city that houses Apple's headquarters, Cupertino is described as a "David vs. Goliath legal show" set in the San Francisco Bay Area's high-tech hub. The Kings are writing the pilot script and executive-producing. Liz Glotzer is also on board as an additional EP. The series is currently slated to make its debut on CBS during the 2026-27 TV season, along with the delayed Einstein.
The Kings' Paramount+ supernatural drama Evil ended its four-season run last August. TVLine readers gave the series finale an average grade of "B," while the farewell season as a whole earned an "A-."
The married writing partners are also known for creating and executive-producing The Good Wife, which aired on CBS for seven seasons and won five Emmys. It produced a successful franchise thanks to its two offshoots: The Good Fight, which served as the first original series to launch on Paramount+ predecessor CBS All Access, and the popular crime procedural Elsbeth, which is currently airing its second season on CBS.
