Lucky, Starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Sets Summer Premiere On Apple TV — Plus, Watch New Teaser
Anya Taylor-Joy and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor are getting "Lucky": Apple TV's upcoming seven-episode limited series will make its debut on Wednesday, July 15.
The series is based on the New York Times bestselling novel and Reese's Book Club pick of the same name by Marissa Stapley. Taylor-Joy will play the titular Lucky, while Ellis-Taylor will take on FBI Agent Billie Rand.
Reads its official description: "When a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways, con artist Lucky is forced to go on the run. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life — and a way out."
In the new teaser released Tuesday (watch it embedded above), we get our first look at Lucky, a woman who's dealing with a "series of bad decisions" she's made over time. The 50-second clip showcases loads of action, including high-speed chases, flipped cars, and just a wee bit of arson.
Joining Taylor-Joy and Ellis-Taylor are Annette Bening ("Apple Never Fall"), Timothy Olyphant ("Alien: Earth"), Drew Starkey ("Outer Banks"), Clifton Collins Jr. ("Westworld"), and William Fichtner ("Prison Break").
