• He is an award-winning sci-fi author, and has been passionate about genre fare – not just sci-fi, but also horror, fantasy, superheroes, the works – since he was a 4-year-old sitting in front of a big box TV watching Spider-Man VHS tapes.
• Nicholas' cinematic debut – as a dead body in a straight-to-DVD B-horror movie, filmed in Hollywood, onscreen for a half-second – remains sadly uncredited and unrecognized by the larger entertainment world.

Nicholas Conley is the managing editor of Static Media's Movies & TV vertical, which encompasses SlashFilm, Looper, TVLine, & SVG. A lifelong storyteller, explorer, and coffee vigilante, Nicholas first joined Static Media in 2017 as a writer for Grunge, and from there, his path led to editing, then to Looper, before becoming the senior lead editor of Hunker, then House Digest, and finally looping back home to Movies & TV. Nicholas is a die-hard fan of popular culture, and there's no greater reward than knowing that some of the niche skills he studied in decades past – like being able to cite specific issue numbers of The Amazing Spider-Man, to recalling backstories of obscure Stephen King characters, to knowing which classic 90s Sierra adventure game series ended on a cliffhanger, to understanding the stark and important truth that Biollante is the most underrated Godzilla opponent — can now comfortably be referred to as "professional development." Above all else, stories remain his greatest passion, and he has written sci-fi novels including "Knight in Paper Armor," "Pale Highway," "Intraterrestrial," "Clay Tongue: A Novelette," and "Ending Forever."
