Emmys 2023 Poll: Who Should Win For Lead Actor In A Comedy Series?

Ted Lasso's Jason Sudeikis is looking to score his third straight Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. But do the other contenders have any chance of blocking his shot?
Sudeikis does have an edge on this year's other four nominees, since he's won twice before in this category for playing Apple TV+'s chipper soccer coach. His strongest competition, though, might come from an Emmy newcomer: Jeremy Allen White, who's already nabbed a Golden Globe for his work as tortured chef Carmy on Hulu's The Bear. Also earning his first career nod is TV veteran Jason Segel, who's nominated for playing unconventional therapist Jimmy on Apple TV+'s Shrinking.
Rounding out the category are two of Sudeikis' fellow SNL alums: Bill Hader, who's won two Emmys for playing the titular hitman on HBO's Barry; and Martin Short, back for the second straight year as theater producer Oliver on Hulu's Only Murders in the Building. (Short does have a pair of Emmy wins to his credit, but they're for writing and hosting.)
So should Sudeikis make it three for three? Or does one of the other nominees deserve to hear their name called instead? It's time for you to fill out your Emmy ballot: Vote for your favorite in the poll below, then hit the comments to defend your pick.
