TCA Awards 2025: The Pitt Dominates With Four Major Wins — Does This Hint At An Emmys Sweep?

The Pitt may be a messy show, but it certainly cleaned up at this year's TCA (Television Critics Association) Awards.

HBO Max's freshman medical drama took home four major trophies at the 41st annual awards show, including the top award of Program of the Year. The Pitt also won for Outstanding Achievement in Drama (for best drama series), Outstanding New Program and Individual Achievement in Drama for star Noah Wyle.

This marks Wyle's first TCA Awards win, beating out fellow nominees like Adam Scott (Severance), Diego Luna (Andor) and Kathy Bates (Matlock). "It is an honor to be nominated, especially in that company, and it is incredibly gratifying to win," Wyle said in a statement. "I've known a lot of you for a long time. You've written some lovely things about me through the years and about my shows, especially this one." (The TCA Awards are handed out by the Television Critics Association, comprised of more than 200 TV writers and critics across the United States and Canada.)

The Pitt's landslide win could be a sign of what's to come for next month's Emmys, where The Pitt is pitted against the likes of Severance and Andor for several major awards, including best drama series. Severance, which earned 27 Emmy nominations this year, went home empty-handed at the TCA Awards despite five nominations.

Among other TCA winners, Apple TV+'s The Studio won for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, and Netflix's Adolescence won for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries or Specials. Plus, Bates did take home this year's Career Achievement Award.
