Casting News: Shailene Woodley Joins Lindsay Lohan Hulu Drama, Derek Hough Is New Extra Host And More

Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies) will star opposite Lindsay Lohan in Hulu's Count My Lies, a limited series based on the Sophie Stava novel of the same name.

In Count My Lies, "when compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart, it seems she's finally landed her dream job," per Deadline. "But little does Sloane know, she's just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for all."

Woodley will executive-produce, alongside Lohan and co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us). She will next be seen in Season 2 of Hulu's Paradise.

In other casting news...

* Derek Hough (Dancing With the Stars) will serve as host of Extra Season 32, premiering Monday, Sept. 8. He succeeds Billy Bush, who left the syndicated celebrity news program at the end of Season 31.

* Season 2 of CBS' Watson has added Noah Mills (NCIS: Hawai'i) in a key recurring role. According to Deadline, he'll play Beck Wythe, a man who befriends Ingrid (Eve Harlow) in group therapy after torpedoing his career in Silicon Valley.

* Matthew Atkinson is returning to CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful, where he'll reprise his role as Thomas Forrester in early September, Soap Opera Digest reports.

* Season 2 of BET's Diarra From Detroit has added Shoniqua Shandai (Harlem) and Dave Z Martin (English Teacher). Per Deadline, they'll recur as Diarra's opinionated cousin Raqueeba, and street-smart criminal Booker, respectively.
