Casting News: Ryan Murphy Picks His Lizzie Borden, Jingle Ball Love Sequel And More

Ella Beatty (FEUD: Capote vs. the Swans) has landed the lead role of (alleged!) axe murderer Lizzie Borden in Season 4 of Netflix's Monster anthology from Ryan Murphy.

Also per The Hollywood Reporter, Rebecca Hall (Tales From the Loop, Murphy/FX's upcoming The Beauty) and Vicky Krieps (TV's Das Boot, Monster Season 3) have also been cast, as Lizzie's stepmother Abby and family maid Bridget Sullivan.

Beatty — the daughter of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening — played Truman Capote's young protégé Kerry O'Shea on Murphy's FX series FEUD: Capote vs. the Swans last year. Monster will first return for Season 3 this October, though, with Charlie Hunnam as infamous killer Ed Gein.

In other recent casting news:

* Joey McIntyre and Michelle Morgan will return for Jingle Bell Wedding, a sequel to last year's Jingle Bell Love, this holiday season on Roku, with Jack (McIntyre) and Jessica (Morgan) finding their New Year's Eve wedding plan threatened by a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity. Plus, American Idol alum Jordin Sparks will star in Roku's Merry Little Mystery, a rom-com starring Sparks as a woman who tries to foil the dogged attempts of a reporter (The Night Agent's Keon Alexander) to reveal her identity as the benevolent Secret Santa of a small town.

* Cindy Busby (Heartland) and Sam Page (The Bold Type) will star in the Great American Family original movie Homes for the Holidays, the network announced on Monday, which will premiere as part of the 5th anniversary of the Great American Christmas programming event that kicks off in October.
