Casting News: New Power Prequel Casts Ghost And Tommy, Lucifer Vet Heads to Dead City And More
Meet the new Ghost and Tommy.
Starz on Wednesday revealed that Spence Moore (Brilliant Minds, All American) and Charlie Mann (Virdee) will star in Power: Origins, the forthcoming prequel series centered on younger versions of the characters originated by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora in the original Power. (Deadline was first to report the news.)
As previously reported, Origins will follow Ghost (Moore) and Tommy (Mann) "as ambitious young entrepreneurs on the rise, determined to make their mark on the streets of New York City," per the official logline. "A fun, rambunctious exploration of a new time period in the Power franchise, Power: Origins will highlight the unbridled audacity of young men on the rise, determined to become legends in the game."
Power: Origins marks the fourth entry in the Power universe, preceded by the recently ended Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan (renewed for a fifth and final season) and Sikora's Power Book IV: Force (which kicks off its third and final season on Friday, Nov. 7).
MeKai Curtis, who plays Kanan Stark on the aforementioned Raising Kanan, will reprise his role in Origins.
