Casting News: St. Denis Medical Pages Ariana Madix, Boyd Holbrook Joins Extraction And More

Ariana Madix is scrubbing into St. Denis Medical.

The Love Island USA host, who recently appeared on ABC's Will Trent, will guest-star in Season 2 of the NBC medical comedy as Dr. Emerson. A character breakdown has not been released.

In Season 2 of St. Denis Medical, "after receiving a large, private donation, hospital administrator Joyce bites off more than she can chew, while her employees navigate staff shortages, office conflicts, and their own personal lives," per the official logline. New episodes begin airing Monday, Nov. 3, at 8/7c.

In other casting news...

* Boyd Holbrook (The Sandman, Justified: City Primeval) will star opposite Omar Sy (Lupin) in Netflix's forthcoming action thriller series set in the Extraction film universe.

* Prime Video's newly ordered biblical epic, Joseph of Egypt, has cast Adam Hashmi (Bridgerton) in the title role. Co-starring are Babak Tafti (Succession) as Simeon, Daniel Peera (NCIS) as Reuben, and Iris Bahr (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as Leah.

* LL COOL J will host the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, airing live coast-to-coast from New York's UBS Arena on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8/7c, on CBS and MTV.

* Adam Scott (Severance), Janelle James (Abbot Elementary), Stephen Root (Barry) and Keith David (Rick and Morty) will lend their voices to the adult animated comedy Strip Law, about an uptight lawyer who teams up with local magician/hedonist to bring some flash and pizzazz to the stupidest cases the city of Las Vegas can throw at them. All 10 episodes begin streaming Thursday, Feb. 20, 2026, on Netflix.
