Suits LA Boss: 'Harvey Is Not The Only Suits Character We're Going To See'

When Harvey Specter visits Suits LA, he will be the first alum from the original series to make the trip to the City of Angels, but he definitely won't be the last one.

As previously reported, Gabriel Macht will reprise his role as the charming corporate lawyer for a three-episode arc on NBC's recently launched spinoff. Harvey will appear in the flashback storyline before showing up in the present-day timeline, creator Aaron Korsh recently told TVLine. But Macht's guest arc is just the beginning when it comes to familiar faces.

"Harvey is not the only Suits original character that we're going to see this season. There will be at least one other original Suits character. I'm not going to say at what level," Korsh reveals, adding that he hopes that it's not advertised when or who may return.

Korsh says his goal is to have any cast members from the USA Network drama — which also starred Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman, among others — "pop up, as organically as possible, and not flood the show with a parade of old Suits characters."

"I know that's what fans want, but I feel like if it's just a parade of old Suits characters, it would sort of harm the new franchise," Korsh continues, "and I don't think it would do a lot of favors to the old franchise either."

In the meantime, fans have Harvey's appearance to look forward to, which will reveal that he and Stephen Amell's character, entertainment lawyer Ted Black, share a history going back to their time as prosecutors.

"Ted was a prosecutor in New York at the time that Harvey was working in New York, so they, clearly, would've known each other," Korsh says. "Now, they didn't work in the same office. Ted was a U.S. Attorney, but Harvey was in the District Attorney's office. So what I came up with was they both played in this prosecutors' league baseball team."

Suits LA airs Sundays at 9/8c on NBC.
