Travis Kelce Joins Cast Of Ryan Murphy FX Series Grotesquerie
Travis Kelce is scoring a touchdown on the small screen: The Super Bowl champion has joined the cast of the FX series Grotesquerie from prolific producer Ryan Murphy, our sister site Deadline reports.
Emmy winner Niecy Nash-Betts, who stars in the upcoming series, let the cat out of the bag earlier on Tuesday on Instagram, posting a video of herself on set with Kelce. In the video, she teases, "Guys, guess who I am working with on Grotesquerie?" before panning over to reveal Kelce, who smiles and says, "Jumping into new territory!" Kelce added the video to his own Instagram Story with the caption: "Steppin into a new world with one of the legends!" (TVLine has reached out to FX for confirmation.)
No details on Kelce's character have been released, but he joins a cast that already includes Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance (who won an Emmy for Murphy's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) and Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread). The horror drama, which was first revealed in a vague teaser in February, is set to debut this fall.
Kelce plays tight end for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs, winning his third Super Bowl earlier this year. (He's also rocketed to superstardom over the past year thanks to his public romance with pop icon Taylor Swift.) Kelce does have some acting chops, having hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2023.
