Grey's Anatomy: Will Owen's Lie Of Omission Shut The Door On An Open Marriage To Teddy?

Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy (recapped here) dropped Teddy and Owen on the doorstep of an open marriage. But his lie of omission may well keep them from ever crossing that threshold.

In the final moments of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," Owen confessed to his wife that when childhood friend Nora (guest star Floriana Lima) had last been hospitalized, she'd tried to kiss him, but he'd pulled away. He further admitted that Nora had continued to text him. In turn, Teddy disclosed that she had bumped into Cass (guest star Sophia Bush)... aaand might be attracted to her.

"What's going to happen with us?" Teddy asked. "I don't know," Owen replied.

Well, for better or worse, I suspect that I do. Owen told Teddy the truth but not the whole truth. He left out the part about him divulging to Nora that her crush wasn't one-sided. That may seem like a small thing, but I would imagine that if a couple is even considering opening up their marriage, being entirely forthright about one another's feelings would be of paramount importance. The primary relationship must be rock-solid to withstand the weight of secondary relationships, right?

So when Teddy learns that Owen withheld the fact that he might be catching feelings for Nora, I predict that yes, even after all that they went through to get together, they'll fall apart and divorce. The solution to the problem of their "outside interests" is right in front of them. Yet they'll never reach it, thanks to Owen's lack of absolute candor. What do you think?
