Here's a look at the TV series that the new Apple TV+ streaming service, expected to launch this November, currently has in the works.

THE MORNING SHOW

WHAT: The actresses star in and executive-produce the series about the behind-the-scenes goings-on at a morning talk show.

AMAZING STORIES

WHO: Edward Burns (Public Morals), Austin Stowell (Public Morals), Kerry Bishé (Halt and Catch Fire) 

WHAT: The "reimagining" of Steven Spielberg's mid-1980s anthology series promises to "transport the audience to worlds of wonder through the lens of today's most imaginative filmmakers, directors and writers." Spielberg will serve as an executive producer alongside showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis (Once Upon a Time).

WHAT: Set in the 1800s, the half-hour comedy will tell poet Emily Dickinson's coming-of-age story with a modern sensibility and tone. Described as "one woman's fight to get her voice heard," the series  explores the constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn't fit into her own time.

WHAT: The half-hour dramedy — executive-produced by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Felicity) and featuring original music by Sara Bareilles — is described as "a love letter to the diverse musicality of New York" and an exploration of "the universal journey of finding your authentic voice in your early 20s."

WHO: Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live)

WHAT: Inspired by You Think It, I'll Say It, an upcoming collection of short stories by Curtis Sittenfeld. Series creator Colleen McGuiness (30 Rock) will serve as showrunner and executive-produce alongside Witherspoon and Wiig.

CENTRAL PARK

PREMIERE DATE: Early summer 2020

WHO: The voices of Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Tituss Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs and Kathryn Hahn

WHAT: The animated musical comedy — co-written by Gad and Bob's Burgers creator Loren Bouchard and EP Nora Smith — tells the story of how a family of caretakers who live and work in Central Park end up saving the park, and basically the world.

LITTLE AMERICA

PREMIERE DATE: Friday, Jan. 17

WHAT: The half-hour anthology series, from Oscar nominees Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick), takes a page from real-life stories featured in Epic Magazine and focuses on the lives of immigrants who have migrated to the United States.

It presents an aspirational world where NASA astronauts, engineers and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate history timeline — a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon.

SERVANT

WHO: Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Rupert Grint (Snatch, Harry Potter), Nell Tiger (Game of Thrones), Toby Kebbell (The Escape Artist)

WHAT: A half-hour psychological thriller written by Tony Basgallop (24: Live Another Day) and executive-produced by M. Night Shyamalan (Wayward Pines), who will also direct the premiere. Follows parents Dorothy and Sean Turner, who hire young nanny Leanne Grayson to help care for their newborn baby... but, as with any Shyamalan creation, there's a twist.

DEFENDING JACOB

PREMIERE DATE: Friday, April 24

WHO: Chris Evans (Captain America), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), Jaeden Martell (Masters of Sex), Cherry Jones (24), Pablo Schreiber (American Gods), Betty Gabriel (Counterpart), Sakina Jaffrey (Timeless)

WHAT: A limited-run drama based on the best-selling 2012 novel by William Landay, it follows lawyer Andy Barber (Evans) in the aftermath of his 14-year-old son, Jacob, being accused of murder. The allegations have a major impact on Andy's family, and he must reevaluate what he thinks he knows about his child. Evans will also executive-produce alongside series creator/showrunner Mark Bomback (the Planet of the Apes trilogy, 2012's Total Recall remake).

HOME BEFORE DARK

PREMIERE DATE: Friday, April 3

WHO: Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project), Jim Sturgess (Hard Sun), Abby Miller (The Sinner, Justified), Louis Herthum (Westworld), Michael Weston (House), Kylie Rogers (The Whispers), Aziza Scott (The Fosters)

WHAT: Inspired by the real-life story of 11-year-old Hilde Lysiak, the mystery drama follows a young girl (Prince) who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father (Sturgess) left behind. While there, her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury.

SWAGGER

WHO: O'Shea Jackson (Straight Outta Compton)

WHAT: Inspired by inspired by NBA superstar Kevin Durant's youth basketball experiences, the drama explore the world of AAU basketball in the nation's capital, and the players, their families and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, and opportunism and corruption. Shots Fired co-creator Reggie Rock Bythewood will write, direct and showrun.

UNTITLED BRIE LARSON DRAMA

WHO: Brie Larson (Captain Marvel, United States of Tara)

WHAT: Based on Amaryllis Fox's memoir Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA, the drama is described as a provocative and contemporary look at a young woman's journey in the CIA, told through the prism of her closest relationships. Larson will also executive-produce.

PACHINKO

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Min Ho Lee (Gangnam Blues), Jin Ha (Devs, Jesus Christ Superstar: Live), Minha Kim), Anna Sawai (Giri/Haji), Soji Arai (to be seen in Cobra Kai Season 3), Kaho Minami (Hotaru) 

WHAT: An adaptation of Min Jin Lee's novel about the hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family. The series, from executive producer/writer Soo Hugh (The Terror), will be told in three languages: Korean, Japanese and English.

MY GLORY WAS I HAD SUCH FRIENDS

WHO: Jennifer Garner (Alias)

WHAT: Based on the memoir by Amy Silverstein about a woman awaiting a last-minute heart transplant, and her close female friends who supported her along the way. Karen Croner (Admission) will pen the series and also serve as an executive producer alongside Garner and J.J. Abrams.

PEANUTS

WHAT: New series, specials and short-form content featuring characters from the late Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts gallery. As part of the deal, DHX Media will also produce STEM-related content featuring Snoopy.

CALLS

WHAT: An English adaptation of the popular French short-form series Calls, which takes storytelling innovation to the next level, allowing audiences to experience short stories through real-life audio sources and minimal visuals.

LISEY'S STORY

WHO: Julianne Moore, Clive Owen (The Knick), Joan Allen (The Family)

WHAT: An adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name, the deeply personal thriller follows Lisey (Moore) two years after the death of her husband. A series of events causes Lisey to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten. King will write all the episodes, in addition to executive-producing alongside J.J. Abrams.

STATUS: Eight-episode limited series.

MR. CORMAN

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Joseph Gordon-Levitt (3rd Rock From the Sun)

WHAT: Gordon-Levitt will play an elementary school teacher who's "grappling with adulthood in Los Angeles." The actor will also write the drama and serve as an executive producer.

WHAT: A "reinvention" '90s PBS kids' show, it centers on "four kids who are brought together by a mysterious ghost in a neighborhood bookstore, and must team up to release fictional characters from works of literature."

SHANTARAM

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy)

WHAT: Based on Gregory David Roberts' 2003 novel, the drama centers on Hunnam's Lin, a man looking to get lost in the busy city of Bombay while on the run from an Australian prison. Cut off from family and friends, Lin finds a new life in the slums, bars and underworld of India. Eric Warren Singer (American Hustle) will pen the scripts and executive-produce with Justin Kurzel (Assassin's Creed), who is set to direct the first two episodes.

THE MOSQUITO COAST

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Justin Theroux (The Leftovers)

WHAT: Based on the Paul Theroux novel (yes, that's actually Justin's uncle), the story follows an idealistic inventor as he uproots his family and takes them to the jungles of Central America to start a new life. Theroux will play the father, with Luther creator Neil Cross co-writing the first episode and serving as showrunner.

TED LASSO

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Jason Sudeikis (SNL)

WHAT: Centers around an American football coach who finds himself hired to manage an English soccer team, despite having zero soccer coaching experience. (The character originated in a series of promotional videos for NBC Sports that debuted in 2013.) Sudeikis will co-write the pilot with Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town), with both also serving as executive producers.

FOUNDATION

WHO: Lee Pace (Pushing Daisies, Halt and Catch Fire), Jared Harris (Mad Men, Chernobyl)

WHAT: An adaptation of Isaac Asimov's classic sci-fi book series of the same name, Foundation chronicles the epic saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it. David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) will serve as showrunner.

SEVERANCE

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Patricia Arquette (The Act, Escape at Dannemora), Britt Lower (High Maintenance, Man Seeking Woman), Christopher Walken, Dichen Lachman (Dollhouse)

WHAT: The dramatic workplace thriller is set at Lumen Industries, a company that's looking to take work-life balance to a new level. Scott will executive-produce and play the lead role of Mark, an employee with a dark past trying to put himself back together. Ben Stiller will serve as director and exec producer. Fellow EPs include Dan Erickson (who is also the creator writer of Severance), Nicky Weinstock and Jackie Cohn.

SLOW HORSES

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHO: Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour)

WHAT: Based on Mick Herron's spy novels, the drama follows Jackson Lamb (Oldman), a brilliant but irascible leader of a group of spies, who end up in MI5's Slough House, having been exiled from the mainstream for their mistakes. Veep writer Will Smith will pen the adaptation, with Graham Yost (Justified) executive-producing.
