The supernatural drama's pre-planned, two-and-a-hour finale movie delivered "an ending filled with possibilities, so my answer has to be Shadowhunters, for sure," says Charlotte. Adds Kellie Marie, "This was show that ended before its time, and I would love to see a lot more."

20 (tie). THE WEST WING (NBC)

In answering our poll, "I first thought about Knots Landing and Sports Night, but I have to go with... The West Wing," reports TVLine reader Brooke. "Imagine Sam Seaborne running for president in a short fall season alongside the 2020 U.S. Presidential race!"

19. BROTHERS AND SISTERS (ABC)

Before the Bravermans and Pearsons, you had the Walkers. "I will never be over the fact that the [fifth] season ended with so many big storylines being introduced, but we didn't get another season," laments TVLine reader Louise. "Plus, I need Sally Field and Beau Bridges back on my screen."

18. MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER (ABC)

"This [poll] is so hard, but if I can choose just one show, then it's Marvel's Agent Carter," says TVLine reader Gabrielle of the Captain America sequel series. "It had so much potential" through two seasons, notes Val, "and they decided to cancel it on a cliffhanger!"

17. THE BRAVE (NBC)

"Redeploy The Brave!" says TVLine reader Tracy, of the NBC drama that debuted during the same TV season as CBS' SEAL Team and The CW's Valor. "This was great show," adds Lisa, "but they never even took a chance to see if it would do better on another night besides Monday, when [ABC's] The Good Doctor is on."

16. THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT (ABC)

"The funniest show I've seen in years was The Kids Are Alright," says TVLine reader susqhb. "I cannot believe it didn't make it past one season."

15. MOONLIGHT (CBS)

The answer to this poll "has got to be Moonlight, a sharp and witty show taken too early," TVLine reader J.R. says of the one-and-done vampire drama led by the soon-to-be-available Alex O'Loughlin. "[Hawaii Five-0's] Steve McGarrett is great," says Lindsay, "but I miss Mick St. John!"

14. CASTLE (ABC)

The consensus among those wishing for one more season of the UST-filled procedural is "only if it's with Beckett, so that they could give the viewers a proper ending," as TVLine reader Alexis puts it (alluding to  how any Season 9 would have killed off Stana Katic's character).  "Otherwise imposters!"

13. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (The WB/UPN)

This Joss Whedon series ended after 144 episodes, in large part because series lead Sarah Michelle Gellar was ready to retire her stake. Yet the fact remains that Buffy set in motion a wave of pop culture powered by fierce females. "It was a good show," recalls TVLine reader Jennifer S, "with a strong yet flawed female character."

12. LONGMIRE (A&E, then Netflix)

A three-season save by Netflix that doubled the Western's run apparently only whetted fans' appetites. "I absolutely loved this show," shares TVLine reader Sharon. "When it ended, I read all the [Craig Johnson] books the series was based on. But the show was the best."

11. CHUCK (NBC)

"After participating in all 98 'Save Chuck' campaigns, I can only say Chuck" when persented with this poll, says TVLine reader Kandy. Coming out of the series finale's closing sequence (pictured), Stephen says, "I want to know what happens after that screen goes black and 'Rivers and Roads' is playing over it. Was it that magical [memory-restoring] kiss that we were hoping for, or was it just enough for us to know that Sarah wanted the kiss that we should figure out they made it [as a couple]." 

10. THE GLADES (A&E)

Some six-and-a-half years after its cancellation, fans still demand resolution, "so I could find out whether Jim lived [after being shot on his wedding day], did they catch his shooter, who was his shooter, and if he lived did, he and Callie finally get married?" says TVLine reader Linda. "I'm still still ticked at the writers for leaving it on a cliffhanger when renewal was in doubt, and for A&E for at least not giving us a two-hour movie to resolve things."

9. WHISKEY CAVALIER (ABC)

The only answer to our poll is "hands down, Whiskey Cavalier!" declares TVLine reader Chris. "It was smart, witty, and original. And it never should have been cancelled."

8. V: The Series (ABC)

Many of those clamoring for more rat-eating reptilian Visitors make clear that they want a revival of the original NBC series — not the ABC reboot —  "with creator Kenneth Johnson in charge!"

7. PUSHING DAISIES (ABC)

This buoyant Bryan Fuller creation "was so unique, and I have so very many unanswered questions," says TVLine reader Krys. "Like, did Ned's dad leave because he has the same gift as Ned and he saved Ned? Is there anyway he could ever touch Chuck? What did the aunts say? And is Digby still the best dog ever? (That's obviously yes.)"

6. FOREVER (ABC)

This supernatural-tinged procedural, starring Alana De la Garza and Ioan Gruffudd, is one of the poster children for Gone Too Soon. "The brilliant characters and writers deserved more than just one season," says TVLine reader Kirsty, "and we deserved to be able to see Jo and Henry solve at least one case with her in the know about his past!"

5. TIMELESS (NBC)

Though NBC capped its second and final season with a Christmas-themed wrap-up movie, the time-travel premise "had so much promise," notes TVLine reader Danielle, "I still want more."

4. HAPPY ENDINGS (ABC)

"Happy Endings was sooo good," TVLine reader Becca says of the three-season comedy. "I miss it, and don't think anything with near as much quality has been on the air in the same genre." Or as Elias put it a la Penny: "It'd be ah-mah-zing to have a Season 4."

3. HANNIBAL (NBC)

Though CBS is planning a Clarice Starling series, that won't sate the... appetite... of this delicious three-season drama.  "It has EVERYTHING," declares TVLine reader Rochel. "Storyline, acting, aesthetics, music, humor, psychology, cooking class, thriller, crime, art... and the best love story of them all."

2. FIREFLY (Fox)

"Firefly. The answer to this question is always Firefly," says TVLine reader DarkDefender. Though many Browncoats indicated they'd like certain events of 2005's Serenity feature to be ignored, if the TV series resumed. Reflecting on the sci-fi Western's original run, Patrick says, "The network treated Joss [Whedon] so poorly and they broadcast the episodes out of order, like they were trying to make it fail!! Wouldn't it be 'shiny' if they could resurrect it?!"

1. SANDITON (PBS)

This eight-part ITV series hit the States earlier this year, not long after it was announced that there would be no Season 2. And that, quite apparently, has its fans up in arms! "It's a brilliant adaptation of Jane Austen's unfinished last work, and it did not end with a proper Jane Austen finish as it was not renewed," notes TVLine reader Jennifer. "I have never campaigned for a show before, but it is just that good!" UPDATE: Renewed for Seasons 2 and 3!
