Game Of Thrones: Daenerys And Jorah Moments

He was also there when she woke up after her son was born dead, and was the one to break the terrible news to her. "He never lived, my princess." Sniff!

The idea of Daenerys climbing onto Khal Drogo's funeral pyre was too much for Jorah, who begged her: ""Khaleesi, my queen: I vow to serve you, obey you, die for you if need be... Don't ask me to stand aside as you climb on that pyre. I won't watch you burn." But she kissed him tenderly on the cheek and did what she wanted to anyway, which is actually a pretty good indicator of their relationship from there on in, no?

When Khal Drogo was injured and Dany went into labor, Jorah stepped up to protect — and bodily carry — a very bloody Khaleesi.  

Jorah presented a very young Daenerys with books and songs from Westeros at her wedding in the series premiere.

Look at him. She was kinda oblivious, but he was already completely gone.

Then Jorah stopped that rat fink Viserys from making off with the dragon eggs, which means she basically has him to thank for her entire rise to power. (Well, him, her innate charisma and sense of leadership, not to mention her being impervious to fire, but we're getting ahead of ourselves...) BTW, Viserys was onto him. "You stand there, all nobility and honor. You don't think I see you looking at my little sister, hmm? Don't think I don't know what you want. I don't care. You can have her."

Jorah saved Daenerys from a wineseller trying to poison her, which was noble and all, except he was secretly spying on her the whole time for Varys. 

After khaleesi sets fire to the Dothraki ruling class and emerges unscathed, both of her suitors (of a sort) take a knee right quick. 

When listing Daenerys' leadership qualities, our knight got a little too exuberant. "There are times when I look at you and I still can't believe you're real," he said, filling the room with AWKWARD. Daenerys merely averted her eyes. 

Then Barristan Selmy showed up. This would mean not-great things for Jorah. But he was a little preoccupied with...

When Barristan outed Jorah as a former spy for King's Landing, Daenerys' mercy was in understandably short supply. "You sold my secrets to the man who killed my father and stole my brother's throne. You want me to forgive you?" she asked, icy. "I have loved you," he countered, but it was no good: She banished him from Meereen, and Jorah sadly rode out of town later that day.

... this hunk of handsome, who really liked to rub it in that Dany let him be her closest (and by that, we mean nakedest) counselor.

Mormont literally fought his way back into Daenerys' favor by proving his worth in the fighting pits, even saving her life when the Sons of the Harpy ambushed her and her people. 

Unfortunately, along the way, Jorah became infected with greyscale — a lethal disease.

To get back in Daenerys' good graces, Jorah did what any man in love would do: Kidnap one of her enemies after he happened to run into him in a Volantis brothel.

Alas, ultimately, Jorah confessed to having greyscale. The implied certain death brought Dany to tears — and made Mormont a bit bolder with his words."All I've ever wanted was to serve you. Tyrion Lannister was right: I love you. I'll always love you. Goodbye, khaleesi," he said, turning to go. But she stops him. "Do not walk away from your queen, Jorah the Andal. You have not been dismissed. You pledged yourself to me, you swore to obey my commands for the rest of your life. Well, I command you to find the cure, wherever it is in this world. I command you to heal yourself. And then return to me... When I take the seven kingdoms, I need you by my side." 

Daario (to Jorah, as they searched for a missing Daenerys): "You keep coming back. Why?"

Jorah: "You know why."

Daario: "Isn't it frustrating, wanting someone who doesn't want you back?"

Jorah: "Of course it is."

At the Citadel, Jorah is told he'll have to be killed before the greyscale spreads, and he's given one day to use as he pleases before the death sentence is carried out. So...

Here you go! And then Sam saves him, so Jorah is free to return to his khaleesi's side. (Hey, it's no happily ever after, but it's about as close as we get to them on this show. Consider it a win.)
