Stabler's Letter To Benson: Here's What It Should Say

This week's Law & Order: Organized Crime finally will reveal, at least in part, what Stabler wrote to Law & Order: SVU's Benson in the letter he gave her last season. But before that happens, we have some thoughts. Here's our not-so-serious take on what Elliot might have written to Olivia.

And OK, I confess: I cooked up that entire animal-smuggling ring thing on the off-chance that you might show up and have to strip to your bra and pretend to be a sex worker. I mean, a gibbon in a basketball? Is that even a thing?

At the time, taking off like that felt like the only way to do it. I... might have been wrong about that. 

In short, I'm really glad I'm back... again. And, like before, I should've come back sooner.

I haven't said it enough, but you're my best friend. 

In all seriousness, it kills me that I wasn't here for this. "My old partner, he'd know what to do." DAMN RIGHT, I WOULD HAVE.

First and foremost, I'm so sorry for leaving the way I did all those years ago. I shouldn't have ghosted you like that. It was wrong.

I'll definitely never do it again. 

You're also kind of my only friend. I, uh, don't make friends easily. And while I'm thinking back on on the years we've known each other...
