Isn't Dan, 'ya know, dead?

John Goodman fans can rest easy! The forthcoming continuation will ignore the original series ending, including the passing of the beloved Conner patriarch. (Though, according to Roseanne Barr, he was never really dead.)

Any other offspring we should know about?

Shameless' Emma Kenney has been cast as David and Darlene's 14-year-old daughter Harris, while newcomer Jayden Rey is set to play D.J.'s daughter Mary.

Who else is on board for the revival?

Estelle Parsons will return to the role of Roseanne and Jackie's mother Beverly in two episodes, while Sandra Bernhard's Nancy and Natalie West's Crystal will each make a single appearance. Also returning are James Pickens Jr. as Chuck and Adilah Barnes as Anne Marie.

How many episodes can we look forward to in Season 10?

ABC initially announced that the '90s sitcom would return with eight all-new episodes. Last November, TVLine reported that an additional installment was commissioned, bringing the final tally to nine. 

Are the Conners still rich?

Far from it! Dan and Roseanne never actually won the $108 million Illinois state lottery, remember? The family's Lanford home has been restored to its pre-Season 9 aesthetic. 

How will the show address Glenn Quinn's death?

Quinn, who played Becky's husband Mark, died of a drug overdose in 2002. In the revival, Darlene and David have a gender-fluid son who is also named Mark (Ames McNamara, pictured right), presumably after David's older brother.

This is all sounds promising, but is the revival actually any good?

TVLine's Michael Ausiello says the revival is almost a home run, and gives the new episodes a "B+." His full review can be read here. 

Who's playing Becky?!

Lecy Goranson (aka Becky No. 1) will reprise her role as Roseanne and Dan's oldest daughter. She will serve as the surrogate for Andrea, a new character developed for Sarah Chalke (fka Becky No. 2). And yes, that means most, if not all of Chalke's scenes, will be opposite her predecessor.

Is Johnny Galecki coming back?

Yes! While his starring role on CBS' The Big Bang Theory led to skepticism about his ability to participate at all, Galecki will indeed reprise his role as David in one episode of the revival. A first glimpse at his return was featured in a promo released March 20.

Will the show still use the same theme song?

It will! In fact, the opening title sequence pays tribute to the original credits. Once again, the entire Conner clan is seated at the kitchen table and ready to scarf down some takeout food. Plus, the chicken shirt is back! (Watch it here.)

When can I watch it?

ABC has announced that Season 10 will kick off with a special one-hour premiere on Tuesday, March 27 at 8/7c. It will then continue airing Tuesdays at 8, with current time slot occupant The Middle shifting to 8:30 pm as of April 3.

Has Roseanne's youngest son been written out entirely?

No. Jerry Garcia Conner will be mentioned, but not seen in these nine episodes, as Barr explained here. As for Jackie's son Andy? That's still unknown.
