Saved By The Bell Cast: Then And Now
Peacock's Saved by the Bell revival premiered in November 2020. Now in Season 2, TVLine is taking a look back to see how the original cast — Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen), A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez), Elizabeth Berkley Lauren (Jessie Spano) and Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies) — have grown since the original series premiered in 1989.

JESSIE SPANO
Elizabeth Berkley Lauren's character danced her way into our hearts when she was first introduced in the pilot... and eventually developed a pesky caffeine pill addiction. More than 30 years later, she is "so excited" to mold a new generation of students as Bayside's guidance counselor.

LISA TURTLE
Lark Voorhies' alter ego also made the leap from Miss Bliss' classroom to Saved by the Bell in 1989. In the present-day revival, Lisa is "thriving with a successful career in fashion," as she should be.

A.C. SLATER
Mario Lopez's character has always been a jock, so it should come as no surprise that the lughead is now Bayside's underachieving gym teacher who may or may not live in his car.

ZACK MORRIS
Mark-Paul Gosselaar's turn as the beloved teen slacker predates T-NBC's Saved by the Bell (which premiered in 1989), having originated the role in the short-lived Disney Channel sitcom Good Morning, Miss Bliss (which debuted in 1987). When the revival began, Zack represented the Golden State as Governor of California.

KELLY KAPOWSKI
Tiffani Thiessen's character couldn't have predicted she'd be California's First Lady when she agreed to go steady with Zack in the early '90s. Twenty-six years after they tied the knot (in the 1994 TV-movie Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas), Zack and Kelly are still happily married. Their son, Mac, attends Bayside in the year 2020.
