The Voice Top 9 Rankings
The Voice - Season 9
Team Gwen: Braiden Sunshine
Nope, we're not going to accept or predict a scenario in which the most-in-need-of-seasoning singer in the Top 12 somehow advances all the way to the final four.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Blake: Zach Seabaugh
Zach himself admitted on Top 10 results night that he still needs a chance to prove to America that he's a great vocalist — not just a hip-swiveling entertainer. But if the kid truly had the chops, wouldn't we know by now?
The Voice - Season 9
Team Adam: Shelby Brown
No way Team Adam's getting three out of four slots in the Season 9 finals — not in a field this closely matched — and Shelby's inconsistency and not-always-flattering edit make her Mr. Levine's weakest link.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Pharrell: Madi Davis
"Case of You" and "Songbird" were two of the season's finest moments — but there's still a sense the quirky teenager hasn't quite mastered the art of consistently choosing the perfect song or the ability to believe she deserves a place in the finals. Mucking up matters? Pharrell has lifted up as many contestants as he's sunk.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Blake: Barrett Baber
He's a little bit country — and a little bit cheese-and-roll. But except for "Delta Dawn," Barrett's been consistently in tune — and if the Blake Multiplier is in full effect this week, he's got a decent shot at the Top 4.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Adam: Amy Vachal
Amy has proven herself a master of twisting current pop hits to suit her feathery jazz stylings. Lack of dynamic range and variety, however, has us wondering if we haven't heard this all before — and with better breath support and pitch control, too.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Gwen: Jeffery Austin
No one's connected emotionally with his lyrics this season as deeply or beautifully as Jeffery — but lack of producer pimpage, alignment with the arguably least popular coach and a tendency toward maudlin ballads could put the openly gay crooner at risk.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Blake: Emily Ann Roberts
She's the most consistent iTunes performer from the mighty Team Blake — and her "Golly gee!" demeanor and lilting throwback style are catnip for a large voting bloc for NBC's reality singing competition.
The Voice - Season 9
Team Adam: Jordan Smith
Dude could cover "Mary Had a Little Lamb," and the relentless hype of Mark Burnett & Co. would carry him to the Top 10 on iTunes. OK, OK, the season-long front-runner has a lovely voice and eye-popping horsepower, too. We're not totally flabbergasted by his rampant popularity.
