Leanne Morgan Tees Up Her Netflix Comedy From EP Chuck Lorre, Reveals How Her Real-Life Husband Feels About TV Hubby Ryan Stiles

After over 30 years of blissful marriage, Leanne and Chuck Morgan know a thing or two about love — but Leanne's semi-autobiographical Netflix sitcom, launching Thursday, July 31, paints a far less rosy picture of wedded life.

In Leanne, co-created by Morgan alongside Chuck Lorre and Susan McMartin (Mom), the titular character is thrown for a loop when her husband of 33 years, Bill — portrayed by Two and a Half Men's Ryan Stiles — leaves her for another woman.

"The rest of it [is] parallel to my life," Morgan tells TVLine. "Taking care of elderly parents, [raising] children... I'm a grandmother, I've been through a bad menopause... so there was a lot that was very similar to my life.

"The only thing is that Chuck Morgan has not walked off and left me," she says. "Thank, God! I need that health insurance!"

Although his on-screen counterpart is unfaithful, Morgan shares that her real-life partner was "pretty tickled" to be represented by the Whose Line Is It Anyway? star. "He was a huge fan," she says, adding: "He was thrilled to meet him... he's enjoying this!"

Although Bill eventually feels remorse, unexpected complications emerge, eliminating any chance of reconciliation. Over the course of 16 episodes, the series follows Leanne as she navigates the challenges of a painful divorce and works to rebuild her life with the support of her sister Carol, played by Mom's Kristen Johnston.
