CBS Premiere Spoilers: Fresh Scoop On 18 New And Returning Shows! NCIS, Fire Country, Boston Blue And More
CBS has released synopses for more than a dozen premieres, including FBI, Ghosts and NCIS.
The following list, which is ordered by airdate, offers fresh intel and even fresher photos from all of your broadcast favorites — first looks at highly anticipated spinoffs Boston Blue and Sheriff Country, and the beginning of the end for The Neighborhood.
As previously reported, CBS Premiere Week kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 12, with Matlock and Elsbeth, and wrapping the following Sunday with Jensen Ackles' return to Tracker. In between, you'll get fresh episodes of Fire Country, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and Watson, and the premiere of new comedy DMV. (Unscripted vets Survivor and The Amazing Race return in September.)

Survivor
"Act One of a Horror Film" – Eighteen strangers are abandoned on the islands of Fiji with the chance to win $1 million. Tribes must claim victory in the grueling marooning challenge to earn essential camp supplies. Then castaways are chosen to face off with a huge reward on the line.

"Two Worlds Colliding" – Host Phil Keoghan invites 13 former Big Brother players to compete on a journey around the world with their loved ones.

Matlock
"The Before Times" – Matty questions the paternity of the man claiming to be Alfie's father. Also, the team takes on an arson case while Olympia tries to protect Julian's involvement in the Wellbrexa case.

Elsbeth
"Yes, And..." – Elsbeth dives into the world of late-night comedy when backstage tensions rise between a talk show host (Stephen Colbert), his head writer Laurel (Amy Sedaris) and her on-air sidekick husband, Mickey (Andy Richter). Also, Elsbeth meets a new police officer (Lindsay Mendez) who is an aspiring stand-up comic when off the clock.

"Welcome to the New Normals" – The Johnsons and Butlers face big changes and unexpected challenges as Tina discovers a new passion, Malcolm navigates work and family boundaries, and Courtney takes a major step with Marty. Meanwhile, Dave's tech experiment backfires and Gemma's parenting plan goes awry.

"Pilot" – East Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving examiner Colette pines for her coworker Noa while enduring teasing from colleagues Gregg, Vic and Ceci. Also, new manager Barb rallies the crew to save their branch from government shutdown.

"Takeover" – After a federal judge disappears, a routine investigation takes a dark turn as the team uncovers that the judge had been searching for his missing son on a secluded island on the city's edge, where authority has crumbled. "A Son in the Oven" – Watson and the fellows spring back into action when Mary's mother accidentally poisons herself while suffering from a rare form of dementia that is progressing with impossible speed. Sheriff Country
"Pilot" – Morena Baccarin stars as Mickey Fox, a straight-shooting sheriff in the small rural town of Edgewater, Calif., and stepsister of Cal Fire's division chief Sharon Leone, who must balance the demands of law enforcement with the complexities of motherhood, community politics and a past that won't stay buried. When a young boy is caught stealing food, Mickey uncovers a disturbing case of child abuse that leads to a high-stakes rescue and a cliffside standoff that could cost lives. "The Process" – As Colter grapples with the shocking truth surrounding his father's death, Russell (Jensen Ackles) joins forces with his brother to help track down the missing wife and daughter of one of Reenie's clients. The Road
"The Premiere" – The journey kicks off for 12 emerging musicians as they take the stage as opening acts for Grammy Award winner, executive producer and "headlining superstar" for The Road, Keith Urban, at their first stop at Tannehill's Music Hall in Ft. Worth, Texas. As each musician performs, Keith and executive producer Blake Shelton watch closely to see how they connect with the crowd. Grammy Award winner and "tour manager" Gretchen Wilson shares her first words of support, offering viewers a raw, behind-the-scenes look at life on the road – before and after the spotlight hits. As the night unfolds, the live audience casts their votes and one musician will be sent home, while the remaining 11 earn a coveted seat on the tour bus and begin a thrilling 10-week ride through the highs and lows of touring, where one ultimate winner will claim the grand prize.
