Dancing With The Stars Week 3 Recap: Who Got The Most Likes On TikTok Night?

Was that your FYP coming to life Tuesday, or was it Dancing With the Stars' TikTok Night? (It was TikTok Night. The other thing would be weird.)

After Week 2 saw the departure of Baron Davis and Corey Feldman (read recap), 12 couples took to the floor for an evening that honored the social media platform that made a bunch of them stars. The night proved redemptive for at least one couple that was in trouble last week and, well, I don't want to spoil you. So keep scrolling for our recap of all 12 performances, then weigh in with your critiques in the comments!

SAFE: Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik

DANCE STYLE: Cha Cha (to "She's a Bad Mama Jama (She's Built, She's Stacked)" by Carl Carlton)

The last time Jen danced to this song, she was fresh off labor and delivery — so the start of the number, with her in a hospital gown and holding one of those giant water bottles (mamas, you know the ones) was a fun nod to that. And she's definitely improving week to week, but I would've liked to see her connect the moves a little more. Props for holding that end-of-dance dip so beautifully, though!

JUDGES' SCORE: 19 out of 30

SAFE: Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko

DANCE STYLE: Samba (to "Shake It to the Max (FLY) [Remix]" by Moliy, Silent Addy, Skillibeng and Shenseea)

The sheer chutzpah of Hilaria talking about going viral for her "When I'm talking, you're not talking" clip and not for this is, honestly, impressive: Every time I think she can't get more... her, she does! Between that and the shot of Alec Baldwin sitting next to Kris Jenner in the audience, I was distracted. The judges said she was technically perfect and Len would've loved it and the samba rolls were the best they've ever seen. Whatever.

JUDGES' SCORE: 22 out of 30

SAFE: Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa

DANCE STYLE: Tango (to "Anxiety" by Doechii)

I loved the power in this number, the way that even when Jordan was standing still, everything about her physicality exuded a don't-mess-with-me strength. Such was her presence that I really didn't note Jordan and Ezra's considerable height difference — even though they'd made a point of mentioning it in the set-up package. I didn't want this routine to end, though that through-the-legs-into-an-endless-spin was a really great cap on some extremely fine work.

JUDGES' SCORE: 24 out of 30

SAFE: Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy

DANCE STYLE: Quickstep (to "Pop Muzik" by M)

Well, that was fun and beautiful. Alix put in great footwork in a challenging style, and she just continues to make it all look so effortless, doesn't she? No notes.

JUDGES' SCORE: 23 out of 30

SAFE: Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach

DANCE STYLE: Foxtrot (to "Yukon" by Justin Bieber)

Sometimes the judges love a performance that strikes me as meh, and this was one of them. I can respect that Dylan's technique was quite good — which is really impressive for Week 3! — and some of those poses that Daniella and Dylan hit were really gorgeous. But on the whole? When Daniella wasn't bending herself into crazy shapes, I was bored.

JUDGES' SCORE: 23 out of 30

SAFE: Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov

DANCE STYLE: Foxtrot (to "Manchild" by Sabrina Carpenter)

Could Danielle keep her shoulders down after Bruno gave her that note two weeks in a row? That was the question going into this graceful routine, and she did! Not only that, but she maintained elegant lines, executed gorgeous kicks and just overall seemed more assured than we've seen in previous numbers.

JUDGES' SCORE: 21 out of 30

SAFE: Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten

DANCE STYLE: Tango (to "Gnarly" by KATSEYE)

OK MISS ELAINE! What a sharp, fabulous performance. (And one that, after the slightly shaky practice video, pleasantly surprised me.) Such a complete embodiment of character! Such buttery moving into and out of those long lunge holds! Beautiful. I am interested to see what will happen in coming styles when Elaine has to rely more on nailing the moves than on putting forth a character, but that's a problem for another day.

JUDGES' SCORE: 21 out of 30

SAFE: Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold

DANCE STYLE: Jazz (to "like JENNIE" by JENNIE)

I loved seeing Scott's personality drive the choreography and the performance: It made such a difference, no? If I'm being picky: Some of his "taking up space" bordered on "flailing into space," but he managed to keep it under control and he was clearly enjoying himself, so yay!

JUDGES' SCORE: 22 out of 30

SAFE: Robert Irwin and Witney Carson

DANCE STYLE: Salsa (to "Million Dollar Baby" by Tommy Richman)

I get why Witney had Robert rip off his top in the middle of the number — if you've got that caliber of crocodile in your jungle, you don't hide it under a banana leaf — but unfortunately the shirtlessness only drew attention to how stiffly he moved in that side-by-side section. The rest, though, was perfectly good and enjoyable.

JUDGES' SCORE: 22 out of 30

SAFE: Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas

DANCE STYLE: Samba (to "Shake Ya Ass (Radio Edit)" by Mystikal)

Is anyone having a better time on the floor than Whitney this season? I think not. Her energy is infectious and her facial expressions are so organically gleeful  — and she's nailing the steps to boot? Hmm... could that be the reflection of the Mirrorball trophy I see glinting off her perfect little cheekbones?

JUDGES' SCORE: 24 out of 30

SAFE: Andy Richter and Emma Slater

DANCE STYLE: Foxtrot (to "Northern Attitude" by Noah Kahan and Hozier)

From the very start, Andy seemed so much more comfortable out there tonight, a little less silly, a little more connected with the choreography and Emma. Good for him! It made me sad in the set-up video when he said he'd never felt loved by a crowd like he does as a DWTS dancer — the man is a national treasure! — but I'm so glad he's on the receiving end now.

JUDGES' SCORE: 18 out of 30

ELIMINATED: Lauren Jauregui and Brandon Armstrong

DANCE STYLE: Cha Cha (to "Work From Home" by Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign)

Carrie Ann noted it, and I noticed it: Lauren didn't seem to be fully into the dance until the moment she and Brandon came face-to-face and she lit up with that smile. Sure, some of her arm movements felt a little rushed/unfinished, but there's a command she has as she struts across the floor that is just. so. watchable. Though did anyone else expect her to seem a little more comfortable dancing to her own song?
