Daytime Emmys: Y&R Leads Soap Opera Nominees, Kelly Clarkson Trails Drew Barrymore For The First Time

The nominations for the 52nd Daytime Emmys are in, and CBS' The Young and the Restless leads the pack with 19 nods — including Outstanding Daytime Drama.

ABC's General Hospital is close behind with 16 nominations, followed by Peacock's Days of Our Lives with 13 nominations.

CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful netted four nods; Beyond the Gates was ineligible this go-round.

The Drew Barrymore Show, in its fourth year of eligibility, leads all daytime talkers for the first time in its five-season run. It is competing in nine categories — including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Host — toppling the previously dominant Kelly Clarkson Show (which netted eight nods).
