2025-26 TV Preview: Every New Comedy, Drama And Unscripted Show
TVLine presents our annual guide to all the upcoming freshman shows premiering during the upcoming broadcast-TV season — with additional series orders, castings and trailers to be added as they're released.
The 2025-26 slate is heavy on revivals, spinoffs and "universe expansions," particularly at ABC (which is set to launch 9-1-1: Nashville and relaunch Scrubs) and CBS (which has Boston Blue, CIA, Sheriff Country and Y: Marshals).
Elsewhere, the Eye network is hoping that a trip to the DMV will make you laugh, and is hitting The Road with a trio of high-profile musicians.

WHAT: The spinoff stars O'Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe, "a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville's busiest firehouse with his beloved son," according to the official character breakdown. "Don's a devoted husband and family man but he has his secrets."

WHAT: Based on the critically acclaimed and beloved global hit Doc Martin, the one-hour comedy casts Charles as the peculiar and brilliant Dr. Martin Best, a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. Unfortunately, Martin's blunt and borderline rude bedside manner rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, and he quickly alienates the town, even though he's all they've got.

WHAT: The Weakest Link revival jumps from NBC to Fox for this celebrity edition, in which eight famous faces compete to win up to $1 million for the charity of their choosing.

WHO: Tom Ellis (Lucifer)
WHAT: A FBI Universe expansion, the crime drama centers on two unlikely partners — a fast-talking, rule-breaking loose cannon CIA case officer (Ellis), and a by-the-book, seasoned and smart FBI agent who believes in the rule of law. When this odd couple are assigned to work out of CIA's New York Station, they must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil, finding that their differences may actually be their strength.

WHAT: A six-episode limited series — to be presented over three consecutive weeks during next Easter and Passover season — based on The Old Testament's Book of Genesis and told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women whose descendants would shape three of the world's great faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The episodes will be told through the lens of five of The Bible's most legendary women: Sarah and her former slave Hagar, Sarah's great-niece Rebekah, and Rebekah's nieces, sisters Leah and Rachel.
