Grey's Anatomy: 10 Things We Want — Make That Need — From Season 22
No one can say that Grey's Anatomy didn't end Season 21 with a bang: Following a tense hostage situation, a literal explosion blew out windows at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and left at least one surgeon's life hanging in the balance. (Read the recap here.)
Also left hanging? Us! Now, though we still have days weeks months to go until the enduring ABC medical drama returns for its Season 22 premiere, we're looking ahead to the twists that we want — make that need — to see happen, and we mean stat, when new episodes begin airing.
Top of the list, we're gonna require a resolution to that cliffhanger that doesn't break our hearts along with Jo's. She and newly minted husband Link were happily anticipating the arrival of their twin girls when it appeared that he'd been killed in that blast.

Yes, we know, we know: Obviously, "happy" is the kiss of death on Grey's Anatomy. But the powers that be absolutely, positively can't drop that level of calamity on Jo, not after all that she's been through already. (She even made our list of unfortunate characters who never catch a break.)
But wait, there's more — lots. Read on for the nine other developments on our wish list. Er, our list of demands.
Stick a Scalpel in Lucas and Simone’s Romance
We loved these two together in the beginning... but only in the beginning. Since they got together, she's become a Debbie Downer, and he, an entitled brat. Paging as-yet-nameless resident...
Go There With Jules and Winston
The sparks flying between them have been blinding. Never mind that he drew a line in the sand to keep their relationship from becoming blurry, they have to cross it... just in time for Mika to return!
Pick a Lane for Ben
If he's a fearless hero, let chief Teddy see that. If he's a menace to rules and regulations, let us see how he and wife Bailey cope when he is forced to complete his residency at a different hospital.
Anchor Helm
She's been around since Season 14, yet has never had an arc to call her own. (She and Mika came close, but that ended more quickly than it began.) Commit to Hellmouth so that we can, too
‘Monmelia’ Has to Happen
Enough with the dancing around the question of "Will they or won't they?" It's past time to get Monica and Amelia together and see whether they can stay that way.
A Red-Hot Blue Storyline
Somehow Kwan and Millin petered out, and his reunion with his amnesiac ex-fiancee was short-lived. Maybe it's (past) time to bring in a truly significant other for charisma machine Harry Shum Jr.
Keep Teddy and Owen Apart
You'd like to think that by middle age, people would be mature and reasonable enough to keep a marriage afloat. But nope. This toxic couple has proven otherwise. Even if they're not done-done, we are!
R.I.P., Catherine
As much as we love Debbie Allen, her character has been knocking on heaven's door for so long that it's time to let her in — and see how Richard handles inheriting her wealth and power.
Let Meredith Turn the Tables
Nick has moved for Meredith (twice). He's forgiven her when she's pushed him away. He's invested in her research. Just once, it would be nice to see her show how much she cares for him.
