Love Is Blind Season 4 Finale Recap: Which Couple Broke Up? Who Got Married In The End?
Love Is Blind Season 4 might have been the Netflix dating show's messiest one yet.
The drama never stopped, and two couples crashed and burned before they even made it to the altar. First, there was Irina and Zack, who were involved in a love triangle with Bliss before Zach ultimately chose Irina as his intended bride.
When the newly engaged pair met face-to-face, Irina expressed her dismay at Zack's looks — saying he gave her the ick — and ultimately checked out of the relationship. In a brutally honest conversation, they decided this wasn't going to work and split up. Zack then returned to Seattle to rekindle things with Bliss.
Marshall and Jackie, on the other hand, made it past the trip to Mexico. Despite Jackie choosing Marshall over Josh in the pods, and the pair immediately hitting it off in their first in-person meeting, their relationship was plagued by drama. Jackie's constant emotional outbursts put a strain on the engagement, and Marshall calling her a project didn't help things. When Jackie didn't show up for her dress fitting, Marshall knew it was over for them. Their engagement ended, and Jackie chose to meet up with Josh, who previously revealed that he still had feelings for her.
The season finale, which was released on Friday, saw four couples head to the altar: Chelsea and Kwame, Tiffany and Brett, Zack and Bliss, and Micah and Paul. But did everyone say "I do?"
Read on below for our recap of the Season 4 finale.
Kwame and Chelsea
Things weren't all rosy for Kwame and Chelsea. In the pods, Kwame first expressed his desire to marry Micah and only dedicated himself to Chelsea after Micah left him for Paul. In Mexico, Kwame seemed enamored with Micah, and their flirty conversation left Chelsea feeling totally disrespected. But Kwame patched things up with his fiancé, and they began planning their wedding. Still, there were some issues. For one, Kwame was apprehensive about moving to Seattle, Wa since he lived in Portland, Or. Plus, his mother did not approve of their marriage.
At the altar: Episode 11 ended before Kwame could say, "I do." In Episode 12, after a long pause, he does so, and the pair celebrated their nuptials. Kwame's mother did not attend the ceremony.
Tiffany and Brett
Even though Tiffany fell asleep on their date, she and Brett were the first pair to get engaged in the pods. Their chemistry continued as they planned their upcoming nuptials, and the couple remained drama-free while others around them imploded. When Tiffany expressed her concern about whether there'd be enough space for her in his apartment, Brett told her he would find a bigger place if she liked the building. (!!!!!!!!)
The wedding day: Was there ever a question of whether they'd made it down the aisle? They'd been sure about each other the entire time and reiterated that sentiment just before exchanging vows. Marshall even dropped by the wedding to show his support for the couple. At the altar, the pair spoke from the heart.
"I thank you so much for giving me a chance to show you who I am, who I truly am," Tiffany said. "And you not judging me, and you loving me no matter what. I thank you for just being you [at] every stage in this process. You've been consistently yourself. That's how I knew that I was in love with you. It wasn't a physical thing; it was simply how you spoke to my soul."
Brett's vows were equally emotional. "You made me feel that I can be a better man," he said. "Not only for me, but for you as well in our future family. You made me feel like we have like the perfect pairing. I truly feel that I found my life partner in you. It's how you carry yourself, your optimism, your kind and loving soul. You are just a beautiful person, inside and out, and that's why I fell in love with you."
Micah and Paul
In the pods, Micah and Paul chose each other, breaking off their other connections in the process. The pair seemed secure in Mexico, and Paul opened up to Micah about her pod bestie Irina hitting on him. He also admitted to Zack that a part of him wondered what would have happened if he chose Amber instead. When he met Micah's friends for the first time, they were rude off the bat and Micah was angered by the fact that he didn't care what they thought of him. The pair also had disagreements about where they would live.
The wedding day: Paul was freaking out before they even made it down the isle. He was still unsure whether his was the right decision but chalked it up to overthinking. Micah, meanwhile, was looking forward to exchanging vows. At the altar, Paul said no to marrying Micah.
"I love you, but I don't think that we could choose each other right now," he told her. "I think that we're not there."
Micah said she knew this was coming. "I think that this whole time, I've wanted to feel shown and told that you love me and that you wanted to be with me," she said. "I never felt safe, and I think that this moment shows that that's validated." She then stormed off before Paul could finish responding.
Micah's friend Shelby gleefully admitted that this was how she wanted things to go.
Zack and Bliss
They were the most unconventional couple to make it to the altar this season. Despite Bliss's thoughtfulness — like baking him cupcakes for his birthday — Zack proposed to Irina and broke her heart. When his relationship with Irina failed, he reconnected with Bliss and admitted he made the wrong choice. Bliss struggled with feeling like the second choice, and Zack reassured her that she is the one for him.
The wedding day: Despite those hiccups in their relationship, the couple exchanged vows at the altar. They looked forward to planning their vacation, with Bliss joking that they were never going to Mexico.
