Warning: The following contains spoilers for Season 4, Part 1 of Stranger Things. If you're still mid-binge, you might want to press PAUSE on reading this article for a little longer.

We'll admit it: When we first heard about the plethora of new characters that Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers were introducing in Season 4, we groaned. "Just what we need," we thought to ourselves. "A bunch of newbies are going to take precious screen time away from our favorites!" But then the funniest thing happened, and boom! It changed everything.

We met them.

Now, at least a couple of Season 4's fresh faces rank right up there among our favorites. (Lookin' at you, Eddie and Argyle!) Perhaps you've grown fonder of a few than you expected to as well? Or, in the case of the antagonists, grew to love to hate them. Before you vote for the best of the bunch in the poll below and sound off in the comments section, let's first review a handy Who's Who of (some of) Who's New that also reveals why, if you don't already know, their portrayers look familiar. Then you can let fly your opinions in support of the character who received your seal of approval.

Eddie Munson

Who is he? The secretly sweet but outwardly outrageous leader of Hawkins High's Hellfire Club. His defining moment? In Episode 1, when he revealed to ill-fated cheerleader Chrissy that he was as intimidated by her as she was of him. The face is familiar because? Joseph Quinn played Helen Mirren's son in HBO's 2019 miniseries Catherine the Great and Stark soldier Koner in Season 7 of Game of Thrones.

Argyle

Who is he? Jonathan's new bestie, the good-natured stoner who puts the "high" in Lenora Hills High. His defining moment? In Episode 1, when he makes a "bird-feeder weeder" in shop class to cheer up his pal, "Mopey Dick." The face is familiar because? Besides a bunch of commercials, Eduardo Franco has appeared on Netflix's American Vandal and starred in the Hulu movie The Binge.

Friendly Orderly

Who is he? The Hawkins Lab orderly who seemed so softhearted — at first. His defining moment? In Episode 7, when his homicidal tendencies emerged (as did his true identity, as 001!) and upon being blasted into the Upside Down, he was transformed into the monstrous Vecna. The face is familiar because? Jamie Campbell Bower was a regular on Starz's Camelot and TNT's Will, and has appeared in three Twilight movies.

Dmitri Antonov

Who is he? The corrupt Russian prison guard who's the closest thing to a friend that Hopper has on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain. His defining moment? In Episode 7, when he admits to Hopper that even if he slayed the Demogorgon, his teenage son wouldn't give him any credit for it. The face is familiar because? Tom Wlaschiha played Game of Thrones' Jaqen H'ghar.

Jason Carver

Who is he? Chrissy's grieving boyfriend, John Hughes' quintessential jock jerk. His defining moment? In Episode 3, when we learned that he planned to "peacefully" bring in prime suspect Eddie... with bats and crowbars. The face is familiar because? Mason Dye recurred on MTV's Teen Wolf and Finding Carter, as well as Amazon Prime's Bosch, and starred in Lifetime's 2014 Flowers in the Attic remake.

Yuri

Who is he? The wisecracking Russian pilot who was supposed to give Hopper a lift out of Kamchatka. His defining moment? In Episode 4, when we along with Dmitri learned that the greedy bastard had double-crossed him. The face is familiar because? Nikola Ðuričko, though best known in his native Serbia, played the captain of Belarus Airlines in Brad Pitt's 2013 zombie flick World War Z.
