The Challenge: Ride Or Dies Brings Back Bananas, All Stars And More — See Cast Photos And Trailer, Get Premiere Date

On the heels of Wednesday's Challenge: USA finale comes the announcement of the flagship series' next installment, which will sport a brand new theme and feature the return of some legendary OGs and All Stars.

In The Challenge: Ride or Dies (which premieres Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 8/7c on MTV), players will be paired with best friends, exes or partners for the first time ever "as they navigate the weekly mental and physical warfare together for their share of one million dollars," reads the official description. "These relationships will be put to the ultimate test as their teamwork, loyalty and trust will be challenged every step of the way. In this game, it all comes down to who you trust and who has your back, because this season of The Challenge will either break bonds or tie two competitors together for life."

In the new trailer released Thursday, we catch our first glimpse of the duos looking to "survive the competition, chaos and conniving of The Challenge." Not only is Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio back for his 23rd (!) Challenge, but Season 38 is also bringing some All Stars back to the fold including Darrell Taylor, Veronica Portillo, Kailah Casillas-Bird and Jordan Wisely. Other notable returnees include Tori Deal, Devon Walker and Aneesa Ferreira, in addition to former champs Turabi "Turbo" Çamkıran, Kaycee Clarke and Amber Borzotra.
