The Voice Season 19 Top 8 Predictions
TVLine has made up a list of the remaining contenders on The Voice that we believe have the best shot of making it all the way to Season 19's Semi-Finals. See if you agree with our picks.
The Voice - Season 19 bailey rae
Bailey Rae
We would've been more flummoxed by John Legend's decision to drop the stellar Sid Kingsley in favor of this good, not great, country gal, had it not seemed like such shrewd strategy. Unless we miss our mark, the show is angling for a Final Four that's made up of one country act from each coach.
The Voice - Season 19 ben allen
Ben Allen
Unless Blake looks at cutting loose this frontrunner as an engagement gift to fiancée Gwen, who stole him, he's gonna be kicking himself for dropping the Floridian whose voice isn't merely twangtastic, it's so rich that just listening to it counts as cheating on our diets.
the voice carter rubin
Carter Rubin
"Divine" is probably the closest-to-correct descriptor for the powerful, nuanced vocals turned out on the regular by Team Gwen Stefani's impossibly poised 14-year-old wunderkind. If he doesn't have his elders in the contest shaking in their boots, they haven't been listening closely enough.
The Voice - Season 19 jim ranger
Jim Ranger
Season 19's finale may feel like a repeat, owing to the fact that there's an excellent chance that Team Blake's new pastor is gonna follow the tracks of Team Blake's old pastor (Season 18 victor Todd Tilghman) right into the winner's circle. But as raucous and entertaining a performer as Jim is, we'd be oddly OK with that.
The Voice larriah jackson
Larriah Jackson
Black women don't tend to fare well on The Voice — at least not to the point that they are crowned the victor of any given season. But there's something special about Team Gwen's 15-year-old Mini-Whitney that just may allow her to do what couldn't be done by Rose Short, etc. That is, if she survives the four-way Knockout!
The Voice - Season 19 payge turner
Payge Turner
We'll admit that we weren't nuts about this Team Gwen lightning rod's cover of Radiohead's "Creep" in the Knockouts. But your crazy-strong reaction to that emotional performance has given us pause. If you dug it that much, perhaps there's more to Payge than meets the — or at least our — ear.
The Voice - Season 19 sid kingsley
Sid Kingsley
We can't for the life of us fathom why this pitch-perfect showman has been passed around from coach to coach like a potato that's too hot to hold. Stolen most recently by Blake Shelton, Sid is a captivating singer, one whose vocals are so smokin', it's a wonder that his performances don't set off fire alarms.
The Voice - Season 19 tanner gomes
Tanner Gomes
Though he's not the natural that Team Blake's Ben is, the cowpoke for whom Kelly Clarkson dropped the far superior Marisa Corvo has a nice voice, a handsome mug and a laidback charm. Those things, combined with Voice viewers' predilection for country artists, should get him to the Semi-Finals without breaking a sweat.
