TVLine Items: Bosch Spinoff Adds Big Sky Vet, Young Sherlock Casts Moriarty And More

Maggie Q is getting a partner for the Bosch: Legacy spinoff.

John Carroll Lynch (Big Sky, American Horror Story) has joined the cast of Prime Video's still-untitled offshoot starring Maggie Q as Detective Renee Ballard.

Lynch will play Thomas Laffont, Renee's retired former partner and a crack interrogator who comes back to help her run the Cold Case Department.

The ensemble also includes Courtney Taylor (Abbott Elementary, Insecure) as Samira Parker, a wary ex-cop who returns to the force five years later at her former mentor Ballard's behest.
