Bridgerton Season 4 To Be Released In Two Parts — Get Release Dates

Netflix will usher in the social season with new episodes of Bridgerton, releasing Season 4 in two parts: Part 1 will arrive Thursday, Jan. 29, followed by Part 2 on Thursday, Feb. 26.

Each part will consist of four episodes.

"With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs," narrator Julie Andrews says in the teaser trailer above. "So then we must ask ourselves: Do we rise to the occasion? As always, time — and this author — will tell."

Based on Julia Quinn's bestselling book series, the Netflix drama centers on the formidable Bridgerton family as they navigate London high society amid their pursuit of romance during the Regency Era.

Season 3 found Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) in a friends-to-lovers arc with neighbor Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), who'd harbored a crush on him for years. When rival Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) tried to blackmail the newlyweds over Penelope's Lady Whistledown alias, the third-born Featherington outed herself at her family's ball; she and Colin went on to have a son.

Season 2, meanwhile, focused on Anthony's (Jonathan Bailey) fiery romance with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), while Season 1 detailed eldest daughter Daphne's (Phoebe Dynevor) tumultuous love affair with Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), the Duke of Hastings and one of the town's most eligible bachelors.

Season 4 centers on Benedict (played by Luke Thompson), the bohemian second son in the Bridgerton family, and a mysterious Lady in Silver (played by Halo's Yerin Ha).

"Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating woman at his mother's masquerade ball," per the official logline. Though her identity is not at first known to Benedict, the woman turns out to be Sophie Baek, a secretive maid with big dreams.

In An Offer from a Gentleman, the third installment in Julia Quinn's book series, Sophie is the orphaned, illegitimate daughter of the Earl of Penwood forced to work for her intolerable stepmother. She captures Benedict's heart after first meeting him at his mother's masquerade ball.
