Dancing With The Stars Pro Emma Slater Reveals Ankle Injury, Won't Be Joining Show's Dance Troupe

Dancing With the Stars pro Emma Slater will be MIA for the foreseeable future: The dancer suffered an undisclosed ankle injury Monday, which will prevent her from joining the show's dance troupe.

"Today threw a little curve ball at me, but got looked after by some special people," she posted on Instagram. "On the phone to my mum and dad letting them know I'm OK. All is good, will be back soon. Thought I was gonna be cutting a rug with my fellow #eliminated pros, but sadly I got #eliminated from that crew too, so I think I'll go join @thereginaldveljohnson and just sit on the couch for a bit."

Slater didn't disclose any specific details regarding her accident.

The dancer and her partner Reginald VelJohnson were eliminated after their foxtrot and cha cha failed to impress during the special two-part competition held Oct. 7-8. They exited the season alongside Eric Roberts and his partner Britt Stewart.

Dancing With the Stars continues Tuesday with Dedication Night, where the nine remaining couples will honor influential figures or institutions in their lives. Derek and Hayley Hough are set to perform, with Mark Ballas guest-judging.
