Dexter: Resurrection Renewed For Season 2

Resurrection looks good on Dexter Morgan: Paramount+ has renewed Dexter: Resurrection for Season 2, TVLine has learned.

Michael C. Hall posted a short clip to YouTube to announce the show's continuing story, and according to the man himself, the writers room is officially open. Watch his announcement below.

The Dexter: New Blood continuation takes place weeks after Dexter (Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace.

"Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right," reads its official description. "But closure won't come easy. When Miami Metro's Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined — and that the only way out is together."

Joining Hall, Alcott and Zayas in the Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 cast were Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, Krysten Ritter, David Dastmalchian, Eric Stonestreet, Neil Patrick Harris, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa and Emilia Suárez.

The Season 1 finale hit Paramount+ With Showtime on Sept. 5, 2025. (Read our recap here.)
