Sean 'Diddy' Combs Sentenced To More Than 4 Years In Prison For Convictions In Sex Trafficking Trial

Sean "Diddy" Combs is staying behind bars: The disgraced music mogul has been sentenced to a total of four years and two months in prison on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Combs was convicted on those two counts back in July following a sensational trial, but was acquitted on more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. On the two convictions, Combs faced a maximum of 20 years in prison. Federal prosecutors pushed for a sentence of 11 years and 3 months, while Combs' defense attorneys argued for a considerably lighter 14-month sentence.

Combs was initially indicted in September 2024, with his seven-week trial beginning on May 5. During the trial proceedings, multiple women — including Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra "Cassie" Ventura — testified to Combs' alleged patterns of sexual assault, violence and threats of blackmail, including multi-day "freak offs," allegedly drug-fueled incidents in which Combs was said to coerce women into participating in sexual activity.

A rapper, music producer and record executive who rose to fame in the 1990s as the founder of Bad Boy Records, Combs also hosted and produced the MTV reality competition Making the Band from 2002 to 2009. Last year, an anonymous artist accused Combs of raping him when he auditioned for Making the Band as a teen — in just one of dozens of civil lawsuits Diddy is facing on top of his criminal conviction.
