Doctor Who: Can David Tennant Save Donna's Life Again? Plus, Ncuti Gatwa As The Fifteenth Doctor — Watch Trailer
As the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant already saved Donna Noble. Can he do it again?
In a new trailer released on Saturday for Doctor Who, which will stream Stateside on Disney+ in November 2023, Donna's life is in danger as she begins to piece together her past after having her memory wiped as a life-saving measure. The Tenth Doctor reappears as the Fourteenth Doctor to usher Donna (Catherine Tate) through a journey to dodge her destiny, encountering violence, villains and explosions along the way.
More familiar faces emerge, including franchise vet Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart, the leader of UNIT. Plus, we get new glimpses of a villainous — but very well dressed — Neil Patrick Harris as an as-yet-unspecified and OTT Big Bad, and Beep the Meep, an adorable E.T. who previously only appeared in the Marvel comics based on the long-running sci-fi series. And, of course, the trailer features a fleeting sneak peek of Sex Education's Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor.
Doctor Who left both its fans and a certain Time Lord remarking, "What?!," as this year's third and final special, which aired in October, came to a surprising close. The Power of the Doctor expectedly showcased Jodie Whittaker's expected exit from the series, but as her Thirteenth Doctor regenerated at the end of the installment, it was none other than David Tennant who (re)appeared.
