Grimsburg Among 3 Shows Renewed At Fox — Which Cartoon Is In Danger Of Cancellation?

Animation continues to dominate at Fox, where Grimsburg, Krapopolis and Universal Basic Guys have all been renewed for additional seasons, TVLine has confirmed.

Grimsburg Season 2 is averaging 619,000 total viewers (with delayed playback), down just 8% from its freshman run. Out of the nine comedies that Fox has aired this TV season, it ranks next-to-last in audience. The renewal is for Season 3.

Krapopolis, which is currently in Season 2, was previously picked up for Seasons 3 and 4. It has now secured a Season 5, which will take it through the 2027-28 season.

Lastly, Universal Basic Guys, which was renewed for Season 2 ahead of its September 2024 premiere, has been picked up for Season 3, which takes it through the 2026-27 season.

Following unprecedented four-season renewals for American Dad! (Seasons 20-23), Bob's Burgers (Seasons 16-19), Family Guy (Seasons 24-27) and The Simpsons (Seasons 37-40), Fox is left with just one cartoon on the bubble: The Great North, which is currently in Season 5 and ranks dead last in audience among all Fox programming.

TVLine's handy Renewal Scorecard has been updated to reflect the news. Are you looking forward to additional seasons of Grimsburg, Krapopolis and Universal Basic Guys? Worried about the fate of The Great North? Drop your thoughts in a comment below.
